I wish there was a boat dealer in my hometown like this guy. I live in Gastonia NC and we only have one boat dealer here New Hope Marine and they SUCK!!! It’s an old family owned business that’s been handed down to spoiled ass grand kids or something and they “stay a float” on the customer loyalty built by grandpa. They are not knowledgeable, their attitude is they don’t care if you buy a boat from them or not. I have to drive like 30-40 mins in any given direction to go somewhere else. Well that’s not all that bad in most cases once you are established but when buying a new boat and you wanna see everything available that can get pretty tough.

There's no replacement for DISplacement....I've been building engines professionally for a couple decades. Car/Truck/Marine/Sleds...the list goes on. One of the universal truths regardless of application. Now days although forced air is very popular...and have gotten more reliable...you're MUCH better off staying normally aspirated and increasing either then number of holes or the size of them.

Evinrude etecs have shit reliability, which is why they also have trash retail. I had a few of them, and they dont even hold a candle to honda/yamaha

George Wuertz only if you love paying for lots of fuel. I have an etec and love it. The motors of Yamaha and mercury and evinrudes are all good motors. A good servicing dealer locally is the most important. Don't thrust your opinion on people. That's just rude.
