I have read many accounts and have heard tales that Mr. Karloff was wonderful to work with and gracious and kind to everyone. He suffered through that Frankenstein and monster makeup, with no complaints. In his last appearance when he was gravely ill, he pushed through and finished asking for no special treatment. I am sure people have their own “spin on every event”( in order to sell books & make their own book “less boring!”🤣Ha!) but by all accounts Mr. Karloff was quite an interesting, well rounded man( never complained about hrs silent in wardrobe either both putting in that makeup & taking it off for the movie( quite the ordeal I read!) ! Led Zeppelin helped me in so many ways, my friend 'the boy next door' introduced me to Led Zeppelin a gift he gave me, he passed away last October, I was having a hard time listening to the music that brought me so much healing, it was sounding different was it because it was my connection to him, what he gave me, the gift of losing myself into the music, to escape from hell, to give me the gift of drawing what I see and feel....the gift of Tolkien, mighty arms of Atlas. winds of Thor, the darkest depths of Mordor.......the boy next door finally I the music was reaching to me again......thanks to the boy next door Should I fall out of love, my fire in the light To chase a feather in the wind Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight There moves a thread that has no end For many hours and days that pass ever soon The tides have caused the flame to dim At last the arm is straight, the hand to the loom Is this to end or just begin? The cup is raised, the toast is made yet again One voice is clear above the din Proud Arianne one word, my will to sustain For me, the cloth once more to spin Yours is the cloth, mine is the hand that sews time His is the force that lies within Ours is the fire, all the warmth we can find He is a feather in the wind All of my love to you now.... Sometimes.......Sometimes I get a little bit lonely......Just a little

Arthur you deserve way more subscribers than you have! Your videos are nothing short of amazing! Plus I love that you don't just focus on actors and singers who are well known but you're also sure to shed a spotlight on all the aspects of filmmaking and music. Plus many historical figures, authors, and playwrights.

Thank you for including Jack Wild in part 2. For so many of us late Boomers, he was our first crush and has a unique place in our hearts. I encourage anyone who loved him to read his posthumously published autobiography “It’s a Dodgers Life.” It’s written in his distinctive voice and is a wonderful read. Many talk of his alcoholism, but he was sober at the end, bravely battling mouth cancer. Even when he lost his voice to the cancer, he acted on stage in pantomime.

Grew up watching the likes of Tony Hart (Morph!!!)....Quite sad to see the state of his stone.
@karenstrycharz1499
@karenstrycharz1499 4 жыл бұрын
It really is! So sad someone doesn’t clean it up fur it is barely legible! We had to do that fur my stepfather fur they deteriorate quite rapidly w/ pollution & acid rain! What a shame someone doesn’t sell a service in a cemetery to do that fur a Gee fur most assuredly they would make money fur many cannot travel distances to take care of a loved one’s stone, if buried far away. Sometimes those buried even close by, don’t have their stones taken care of. Once a family dies off, sadly, there is no one left to take care of the family stones so I would gladly pay into perpetuity to have my stone cleaned! Wishing you all the best! Love this series!❤️

Few realize how closely the music of Star Wars (Williams) follows Holst. Even in just the short clips of Mars and Neptune, it is obvious there's a connection. "Influence" was a delicate and polite way for Arthur to phrase it. Some have been more direct and claimed that John Williams all but erased Holst's name off the top of the sheet music and put his own. I personally recognize the genius of Williams, and admire him for not only his brilliance as a composer, but also to realize the brilliance of Holst. Like they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
