Also, would you know where I can find the documentary that was done about him a few years ago. I am also going to get the book by Joshua Gamson. Let me know OK and what was done with the clothes that he wore on tour..It would be interesting to see where he lived. Thanks again Steve you put interesting videos on here keep it up.

Thank you so much for this. I was a special friend of Sylvester when he came to London to perform at Heaven club. I was a shop assistant in Fiorucci e invited me for dinner at Sheena Houston home and we became very good friends. Every time he came to London we spent some time together clubbing at Hippodrome or Heaven staying at the Montcalm Hotel. Silvester received a call from Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran and he didn't know who was lol so secretly I told him he was very very famous ahaha, then I went back to Italy as the army was mandatory and a friend of mine DJ Joe T Vannelli told me Sylvester died. I was devastated. I was looking for his grave and I found this video, thank you so much.

It was when I realized it nine years old having a brain tumor that I could’ve died because they’re short graves too. Senior citizen now. I was blessed to go to church with him and now his younger brother plays for our church here, Bishop Noel Jones., Grace Jones brother...family. Hello Steve, I hope this short message finds you doing well? I so thank you for visiting and giving praise to the ultra-talented "Sylvester". Yes, gone way too soon. I often wonder how much further his star would have ascended had he been given more time? Curious? If you look closely at his grave marker, it appears that space and four screws were made available for a second/future nameplate? His last lover Rick Cranmer had passed before him, so I wonder if he had hoped that Rick's body would be moved or perhaps that his Mother would be interred next to him in the future? Again, so appreciate your visit/footage and your always respectful and gracious memorial visits. You take good care. Austin Wiser in Clearwater, Florida

My brother @ the graveyard channel, you are a big fan of Sylvester, is there a movie about him?they should have one, I have been to California 8 times, I can’t believe I have never visited his grave, LIFE IS PRECIOUS, Sylvester was right when he said in his song “STARS” YOU ARE A STAR AND YOU ONLY HAPPEN ONCE, we should not take anything for granted.

An idea, Steve. Most are located in southern California, and many are likely in your files already. The cast and production of one of my favorite comedies, Its a Msd, Mad, Mad, Mad, World. So many fine people were in that film, it may need to be a two parter. I think Johnny Winters, however, is cremated with no grave to visit. I knew someone who went to school with Winters in Ohio, and said he was a talented class clown even back then.

Sylvester thought of gender as being a daily choice and referred to his stage personas as extensions of his true self. He loved being embraced by the gay community too, but he saw himself as having transcended it with his fame. Sylvester had also been, among his many different jobs before disco, a make-up artist to the dead. He prepared corpses for their funerals. I was surprised you hadn't mentioned that, as it is a skill well suited to your channel. Etta James is buried there too. Her, "At Last," is timeless!

Are any of his relatives buried near him is a question ? I am going to get the book of his biography that I saw in this video as well. He was very popular and he is being rediscovered again even to this day..Rip Sylvester. This coming December 2019 I dont know the day but he will be gone 31 years.
