Hi Leila. It really saddens me to see people running for their lives crying and scared like what's been happening in the news lately... I can only imagine how devastated these people must be feeling right now, the children, elderly people etc. "We Owe Our Children; The Most Vulnerable Citizens in Any Society a Life free from Violence and Fear"~ Nelson Mandela ♥️ You're a great mother Leila...🌟Thanks for this lesson👏

Hi Leila. Thanks so much to Sabrah and you for this amazing initiative echoing the voice to peace. As you said, this site is not so big in terms of audience. But there are not little actions. As they say, "les petits ruisseaux font les grandes rivières" ("little streams make big rivers" and "great oaks from little acorns grow"). And yes, with your call, you make a difference. I personally have written that poem that I submitted for a project of a book in favour of peace and support and solidarity to Ukraine and whose raised funds will be donated to the UK DEC appeal. Except in my author notes, I chose to not enter the political ground and give my voice to a young Ukrainian girl taken in the torment of tragedy and addressing and conjuring death for the hope of life and peace. Here it is: The Young Ukrainian "Respected by the scythe matures the nascent ear Vine branch all summer long, far from the press' fear, Drinks from the dawn the sweet presents And I, young like it and like it beautiful Whatever present times are of fright and trouble Die already I do not want ... Let a dry-eyed Stoic fly and death embrace I hope and I weep; in the dark Northern breath I bend down and lift up my head If there are bitter days, there are the sweetest Alas! Which honey never has left disgust... Which is the sea with no tempest? The fertile illusion dwells inside my womb. On me weigh in vain the walls from a prison Of hopefulness I have the wings Escaped from the nets of the cruel birdcatcher To heavens countrysides, livelier, happier Philomene takes her flight and sings Do I have to die?; tranquil asleep I fall Quiet I watch over and my eve by remorse Neither my sleeping are plagued by My welcome to the day laughs in all the eyes; On dismounted fronts, my appearance in this site Almost brings back kind of delight My nice journey still is so far from its bail I leave and of the elms that border the trail I barely got past the first ones At the banquet of life that has hardly begun Only a moment my lips gave a pressure The cup still filled within my palms I'm only in spring, want to see the harvest Just alike the sun from seasons to the next I want to complete the year run. Shining on my stem, honor of the garden, I have only seen of morning the glimmers I want to reach the setting' sun O death! You can wait; go away, go away!; Go and comfort hearts that shame, fright or dismay Or other pale despair devours. For me Palès still has green asylums, The Love of Kisses, Muses of recitals I won't see yet my last hours!" So, sad and helpless, my lyre nevertheless Awoke, hearing this voice, these wrenching complaints These vows of such a young captive Shaking the burden of my languid days n' rants To the sweet laws of verse I bent the accents With her lovable mouth naive These songs, of my distress, harmonious attestors, Will make to some lovers some studious leisures To find out whom this beauty was: The Grace adorned her prayers and her forehead And, like her, the end of their days they will dread Those who them by her side will pass 🕯📜🕯 🖌 🧡🌹🕊🕊🕊 F.D.+ A.C. Note: (To the corrupted, liberticide, heartless, monstruous, demented autocrat Rat poo tin And to the vile foul NATO scavengers - BideHaine, Mackerel, Van der La Hyena, TrouD'eau, Johnassson, SlotInBerk...) Thanks so much Leila and Sabrah 🙏for your inititive and positive thoughts and showing solidarity and sympathy to Ukraine. 🧡🌹🌹🕊🕊 This time the tone was serious but right, sincere, down to earth and compassionate. Ukraine.. Thank you Leila for bringing up this topic. It also concerns Poland even though we are still not at war. Poland has acquired approx. 3 mln. Ukrainian so far. We are helping even though Polish-Ukrainian history is more than complicated... Why are we helping? Because we know what war is, means, destroys... Special thanks to RAF which has been flying above us every single day since 31.08.2021. War will unfortunately last for a couple of years... And before we condemn all Russians, think about humanity. We are all humans. Politicians start the war. Politicians...

First of all, I hope you’re okay Leila (and Sabe) despite all the anxiety and moral anguish and sadness I’ve read in your eyes relatively to this horrible tragedy. Of course, I am all the more aware and sensitive to it that I share them to a point that I just cannot say. However, I do not withdraw any of my remarks regarding our actions of westerners and I share your feeling that the world is not Manichean and that there are not on one side the good and the bad. Are there any historical political figures you admire? If so, then I challenge you to read the biography of each of them, except for a few very rare, I affirm that in each one of them, you will find shadows areas that History has watered down, even swept away to keep only the most positive of their acts. For example, I am a huge admirer of Churchill ... And yet, what were his policies and his positions and actions in India for example... Was Lincoln a saint? ... Then indeed, apart from that of the great Einstein, NO to relativity or more exactly to relativism (!) because obviously, everything is not equal. By essence, the politician must make decisions and the 'good one' if any exists, between two evils, will choose the least and logically go in the direction of what he considers to be in HIS interest and that of his people. It is therefore out of the question to put them on the same level as Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Putin ... and their dictatorial or autocrat. madness. And I would add Bush to the list without the least hesitation (the high estimate gives more than one million Iraqi deaths). I despair of the profound intrinsic nature of Man and perhaps not of that 'will of power' proper to all life of which Nietsche speaks about, but of his taste for power, his greed, his insatible greed that lead him to despise this miracle of Life at the mere idea of power and money to the detriment of any other value. And my heart bleeds on the fate of the Ukrainian people as I cried on the fate of the Iraqi people. Nothing can justify the action of these autocrats, nothing ... A man who dies is a whole world that disappears. Justify, no! Try, try to understand, yes absolutely! And I wonder about geopolitics and our actions as Westerners. When a man blows himself up with his TNT belt around his waist in the middle of a crowd; When a man rushes a plane over a tower ... Nihilistic and deadly monsters whose existence cannot be justified. So I try in total desperation to wonder about the root causes of what is capable of generating and engendering such a monstrosity ... I’m Iraqi, a bomb from Uncle Sam whom I didn’t even know existed razed my village and destroyed my entire family, the people I loved. My grief is unspeakable, I was basically a man. My revolt and hatred towards this West is immeasurable. This religious fundamentalist told me who they are ... what drives them. My monstrosity has surpassed ... that of those who gave birth to it. Kisses Leila & Sabrah 🥰🌹🧡🕊

That's definitely the spirit we need for people who need not just your help but the world's help wholly. I liked the quotes you shared in the video, that's refreshing to know that war is unfortunately inevitable no matter how far we've gone. However, people fleeing their homes is what humanity has witnessed and forever will, I think! Besides, I liked more the Mahatma Gandhi's quote which is generous saying (paraphrased) people affected by war won't see any difference in the type of regime shelling them. Finally, I guess it would've morally been equal if this donation and sense of hospitality, full of compassion were shared with the rest of the world as human beings are dying of the lack of necessary elements to survive and ultimately live with dignity. I think people need your help to organize such or at least share not just in the case of war but for other reasons governments of the world left them dying of. Unfortunately, their voices can't be heard, just because one is louder than the others'. Just think of COVID-19 and the respiratory ventilation crisis, how devastating it was for the whole world! If we were to be one world, we have got to raise our heads to see what's beyond.

Prefer means: to like something more than something else (more than another thing) In your example the person says (I simplify): if you don't say something nice, then I ' like more' that we don't talk together = I prefer that we don't communicate If you are a speaker of the arabic language: إذا لم يكن لديك أي شيء لطيف لتقوله، فأنا أفضل ألا نتواصل Hope that helps. Yes and I know his position and that of Anne-Laure Bonnet as well who had tried to alarm about what was going on in Dombass an Donetsk as soon as 2015. That is a real absolute shame that the western press and medias have somehow silenced what occured out there with the agression of the Russophones. Shame on the nato to not have contributed to make respected the Minsk agreements and somehow having dangled an enticing promise to ukraine about the possibility of integrating NATO and probably having comploted inside the country. All that though knowing that Putrid would anyway be inflexible on its red lines! From that perspective I consider nato to be very largely responsible of what occured...and this all the more so that since the fall of the wall, it cannot be denied that all the agreements with Russia have been flouted and trampled underfoot. if he isn't responsible, it is no less true that Poo Tin is guilty having committed that invasion and agression of a sovereign country. He is the agressor and guilty of the death of innocent people and seemingly many others to come. In the same way Ukraine is responsible for having let operate these factions that had been agressing Dombass for 8 years (since 2014). Had Putrid defended these regions, it would probably had been more 'acceptable' than invading a whole country and killing more and more innocent people ...For that, he has fallen down in the the depths of my disgrace and contempt... As much as I despise those NATO rats who in any case were no longer needed since the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact! Yeah, I claim that these nato rats were not useful anymore and have since committed enough dammages all around the word and especially for the greed of the U.S. as all the others are their puppets and their vassals! ...

War is not the solution to end conflicts. It brings destruction, death of innocent people and calamity. Normal routine life is disrupted. As Jesus Christ said, "Love God with all your strength, mind and love your neighbors as you love yourselves. When we love all the peoples of the world, irrespective of nationality, religion, colour and creed, there will be no wars. Instead there will be peace, stability and prosperity. Let's all resolve to love each other. Thanks dear Leila for your concern. Thanks for using a quotation of Father of our nation - the great Mahatma Gandhi ji.

Stranger, foreigner! What does this word mean? What ! On this rock I have fewer rights than in this field! What! I've crossed this river, this path, this blue or red line visible only on your maps, and the trees, the flowers, the sun, no longer know me! What nonsense to pretend that I'm less of a man on one point of land than on the other! You tell me: We are at home and you are not! - Where? Here? All you have to do is dig a pit, and you'll see that the earth will receive me just as well as you. *********************************** Étranger ! Que signifie ce mot ? Quoi ! Victor Hugo,1855 (In 'La Légende des Siècles').

The Russian occupants won't give up hopes to take the capital city of Ukraine, today a missile was shot right above the place where I used to live before moving to Poland. The debri hit an apartment house, and even though no one died, the funnel from the missile in the ground looks atrocious. Not to mention, the house caught on fire and it's 100 yards from a kindergarten.

@@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah Whatever money you can collect & send to our Military will not be redundant because our Army people have the ability to stop Putin's occupants once and forever, nip the evil in the bud, so to say :) If you provide enough support, the war will stay inside the Ukraine, just like NATO wants.

You shouldn't judge like that. Of course that is a real interrogation most westerners shoul have as somehow, we feel more 'touched' only because the drama is at our doors. The same prostestations and solidarity should be manifested regarding the cases you quoted and unfortunately many others such as Yemen currently. Leila evoked Ukraine but also all the other refugees... Probably she felt it more now having a kid. Regardless, she did the very right thing with a lot of modesty, heart and nobility.

Dear ladies. You enter into the area where you know strictly nothing. You have a language platform. Do not mix it up with politics. Why were you not supporting people in Donbass bombed since 8 years? And all other from other countries. You ask to share what I think. So listen. Russia is liberating Ukraine from fascist regime. Criminal regime with regards of their own people. It was not a good idea for you to make political comments . As for proverbs ' they are good.

@@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah so limit yourself by general statements but not particularly in connection with Ukraine. You showd also Ukrainian flag. Why? Are you Ukrainian? It is already the demonstration of your position. Once again I repeat it was a very bad idea to mix up your language platform with this political issues in which you know nothing. There are 3 million refugees in Russia who left Ukrainian territory during these 8 years. Why don't you speak about them? You do brilliantly your job as a teacher. Stay please within this limits.
