Famous YouTuber DJ Akademiks Inadvertently Exposes How Gun Control Doesn't Work

In response to my saying gun laws only affect good people who follow laws, anti-you-have-a-gun people will point to places like Canada as an example of how gun control is effective at stopping criminals from having guns.
However, I came across this story from DJ Akademiks that says otherwise.
DJ Akademiks has a massive following on KZbin and social media, where he breaks down the latest trends, controversies, and drama in hip-hop.
He's basically the Tucker Carlson of the rap world after he left Fox and he happens to also be very pro 2A.
In this video, DJ Akademiks explains what happened to him in Canada and gives a first-hand account of how messed up gun control laws are.

However, taking out the top ten ish cities does reduce the number of homicides by like 25-30% depending on the year. Still significant, but this "we're third for gun violence" thing is completely false.

Being a veteran myself, I went to the local base for an air show. Metal detectors for everyone. Inside were 18 year old kids with police dogs and M4s walking around. While everyone seemed fine, my military experience had me freaking the hell out. Years ago I was an 18 year old with an M-16. Yet I found myself in an open air location where only the active duty military has guns, and I cannot even hold one despite being prior military. I felt like what an unarmed populace saw right before the dictator ordered his military to open fire.

Ive pointed to your interview with a former London Police Officer on a few occasions. Everyone talks about how the U.K doesnt have gun violence. But the Police Officer said that is definitely not the case. The criminality is just more covert about it than in the u.s and it doesnt get reported by the media. But there is still issues with shootings all the time. This is what people fail to understand. Even if you magically find a way to remove firearms they as well as the ammo are still easy to make. I literally have built a few in my youth (years ago) as well as homemade ammo. It takes some creativity but its honestly not difficult. There is only one reason why the government wants to control firearms. Public safety is not the reason.

The Greenwood Park Mall was a gun-free zone but two young men ignored that fact. One was bent on mass murder and had already killed three innocent shoppers. The other was taking advantage of Indiana's new constitutional carry right, although the gun-free rule still technically applied. The second young man drew his firearm and put a stop to the first young man's deadly rampage (and his life). The second young man was not charged with violating the gun-free policy.

I’m from Palm Beach Florida and I promise you if you want to get into a club with the cannon all you got to do is know somebody or break somebody off with a little cash. It’s too easy. In my past life I even had management of Strip Clubs offer to store my firearm in the office but in no way was obligated to. They also informed myself and others of all undercover police inside the establishment. I was once young and dumb but Needless to say I no longer participate or frequent those establishments.

I went into a nightclub in Minneapolis that had walkthrough metal detectors. Almost everyone was forced to go through. Then right as I am about to walk through a group of a few people shook the bouncers hand and went through the other exit door, not passing through the detector...
