great video big bro! If I can add something: if we say they get printed the same ammount, we have to give that 151 demmand is soooo much higher. The restock in Europe got eaten from providers within a week, and I have seen 151 ETBs sell for 80€ here in Europe. The demmand is the highest I've seen since evolving skies and celebrations. imo both are fantastic choices. 151 got a LOT of people interested in collecting cards again. myself included. I just bought a box for it that i'm eagerly waiting to open lol but BOTH paldea sets are being slept on right now. and in my opinion, fates is going to be very desireable going forward. a LOT of eyes are on 151. a lot of money is going to 151. but fates in particular is just as valuable, but with less attention. I don't like AS MANY of the cards in fates as i do 151, but all those star bg cards are extremely cute, and a lot of og. I imagine those cards will be VERY collectable in the future. more so than 151. anyone wanting poke-specific collections will absolutely want one from paldea fates, and all the star bg cards together would look fantastic in a binder. so in my eyes, what is happening right now, is a lot of new collectors are coming in and focusing on 151, it's a great set, but as they finish it out over the next few years, they'll be looking for other sets to collect from. there will likely be a lot more 151 floating around as newbies ditch the hobby, but paldea fates mmmmm I knew i was going to open 151. but I'm going to also open up some of fates. i want a LOT of cards from fates and they're already too expensive to justify buying singles. But 151 i want nearly every card but they aren't as expensive. So open one box for fun, then buy singles, then invest in one for 151. but fates? I'm planning on buying a display box of 10 boxes, and MAYBE opening up to 5 of them for my own collection. but probably no more than 3 of them. Then sitting on the rest. i've also eyeing jap crown zenith pretty damn hard but i wouldn't dare open it lol take that as you will ;)

Both have pros n cons. However, a lot new/ex collectors started collecting because of 151. How about Japanese 151 with the master ball cards? Those are quite valuable.

I think there's one very easy criteria to see what people like more and the 'better set'. What can you find on shelves? Fates. In Brisbane,you won't see a 151 bundle or ETB anywhere at retail. Ever. I check constantly. Fates is everywhere I go, and there's always several ETBs sitting.

I think looking at that PSA pop is pretty valuable, almost specifically for this 151 set. People are sending off those charmanders and squirtles left and right. Is that normal? Not really. The art is great but it's the nostalgia and overall collectability of that 151. "Gotta have all 3 evolutions of the 3 starter pokemon". I'm glad you think the booster bundles are a good investment. I have a case of them and a few UPCs. The UPC's are big though, probably not the best choice, might revisit them later.

I collected both sets to master set and paldean fates is a lot harder with the 150 plus baby shineys really big set to master set through packs I watch how everyone sais 151 has a hard pull rate but I didn’t really find it 2 difficult and there is a lot of people with 151 out there already think paldean fates is slept on love the charizard mew gardivoir and Iona plus the gold cards it’s a big set great vidio

id say an invisible factor to include is collectors sentiment: if you had to pick only one of the two sets after being presented the data, 151 would get that additional point for being more likely to hold value because of the kanto pokemons. they are always gonna hold value for generations and sets becuase they are OG.

while this is true, 151 will most likely be a strong set, also consider supply! in 5 years, some of those 151 collectors might get out of the hobby and liquidate, pumping up supply. and fates has a lot of og poke, and some johto, which a lot of old fans also liked! a lot of collectors are getting into pokemon again with 151, and that's where their money will go for a hot minute. so the question is, where do they go after 151? out, or they turn to poke-specific collection or different sets. that's getting speculative ofc but the shinies in fates are unique and aesthetic. just like in the game, what do you do after you beat the gyms and caught them all? you shiny hunt ;D

I guess I was very lucky with Paldean Fates, I pulled almost every SIR with no dupes. It's a fun set though! Mew, charizard, and gardevoir are all amazing chase cards

I think the Japanese shiny treasure ex is the better choice(paldean fates). Extremely cheap, very close in price among the top 5 hits, and you 're guaranteed few great hits with every booster box.

While not a display piece another youtuber convinced me that 3 piece blisters are a creat way to pack value in a small form factor for holiday sets. I believe crown zenith 3 pk blisters will be a great investment vehicle for that set since it takes up less room, high pull rates, and a loaded set

PF is going to the moon imho. Bubble Mew and Gardevoir are amazing. Both are fantastic sets. Neither is better both have their place in a well diversified strategy. Bundles are super cheap, super small, take up a lot less room. Chases on the others are kinda mid outside of PKMN Center Stamp promos, which are a lot more in demand than the others. PF is only suffering because it's between like 3 sets and competing with other holiday sets already.

As a collector, Paldean Fates was more fun to open but 151 is the replacment for the OG set we all treated terribly as kids! "Remember that Holo charizard you put in your bike spokes to make it sound "cool" well now you can replace it without selling an organ!"

Psa pop rate are really nota good measure to know if a set is better. Look at moonbreon, psa 10 count is over 10k. Definitely not a rare card, but difficult to pull. This one card does prop up the value of the set, considering the amount of people hunting for it

Both. CZ is the better buy IMO. CZ ETBs sell out instantly whereas the ST bb are still on the PKMN Center in US and EU I believe.

The price of 151 is inflated right now because of scalping. The scalpers are the reason you can barely find stock.

the paldean fates one looks better to me but both should be $100+ cards easily the paldean fates one is also shiny which over time will probably hold more value it also all depends on how much reprints each set will get also sold items on ebay seems to be more accurate than tcg player pricing i think they add the Japanese and korean cards to the cards market price on tcg player which isnt that accurate you have to see what the english ones are selling for and ebay sold items shows that better

My hot(sh1t) take of the day....151 is overrated. Its a great set for sure but "the best set of scarlet and violet"? I personally don't think so. Paldean fates i think is better. That charizard is for me, the charizard we have been waiting for. It looks absolutely vicious and powerful, borderline sinister. The 151 charizard is fine but nothing like the paldean fates one. The gardevior(one of my favourite all time Pokémon) is just absolutely amazing and for me beats anything in 151 except the Zapdos(best card in the set) and the bubble mew is just insane. Again 151 is a great set but i think it not having the master balls was a massive missed opportunity. Then it would have been the best set 😂

Gunna get destroyed in the comments but i think 10 years from now shrouded fable will be worth more than both of them.ive been back in the hobby since 2012 and for the most part in the long run its been the sets that there just isnt a lot of that hold the most value. Nobody really likes shrouded fable. That being said. The covid boom completely changed the hobby so the old ways of thinking might not translate anymore. We will just have to see.

SF will be worth something decent, and I think it does have the capacity to be worth more because like you said... No one wants it. People WILL want it, just not at MSRP today. They will be angry about investors "gouging" in like 2-3 years. Someone just bought 10 cases of Kingdra and Greninja boxes at liek 168. People are stocking up. Cards aren't cratering. SF's biggest hurddle is going to be what the ETBs do to the prices, but a lot of people will probably skip it for Stellar Crown. We also probably won't be getting reprints for SF.

I think paldean fates singles will be worth much more in 5-10 years. But sealed product 151 by far will have a more collector and fan base behind it paying some good cash to get there hands on them. I feel even celebrations sealed product will have more nostalgic effect in 10 years
