i saw a guy just put some wood in the hole of the original damper...makes it stiffer for practically 0$

Well i can relate because i put a piece of hard glue(not melted) from a glue gun, straight from the stick itself and it works like a charm imo. But now i'm gonna try those 3DRAP

I wrapped an 8mm dowell in double sided foam tape, enough layers to get the thickness. Definitely helped

Would it be good if i dont like the stock brake as much but dont like the load cell at all?
@Ferrari255GTO7 ай бұрын
It should be a good middle point, and since you can tune it to taste it shouldn't really concern you that it may be too stiff

i actually ordered one for my non lc brake, when you compressed the brake(without the brake mod) with your hand the resistance looked very light, but my non lc brake fore sure has more resistance than your brake, that's weird, did fanatec maybe change the foam to a slighty firmer foam?
@earthling1988 Жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that they changed the foam in the csl non lc brake, judging from all the reviews i've seen on youtube, they all had the same light resistance as your brake. by the way i've just recently bought my new fanatec setup(almost 2 months ago)

I suppose that's quite possible, the foam that came with mine really isn't doing much of anything.
@earthling1988 Жыл бұрын
@@SimRacingCorner I could possibly (but I'm not sure if it's worth the effort) send you the PU foam and you could try it out for yourself. But the difference between the two PU foams is nevertheless very interesting.
@earthling1988 Жыл бұрын
@@SimRacingCorner But I still hope that the 3drap mod will be better than the PU foam in my standard CSL brake, which, as already mentioned, offers more resistance than the old PU foam. Hopefully I didn't order it unnecessarily, only to realize later that the difference isn't that big. The mod costs €22.90 and with shipping costs it was €37.90 Okay, now I have to test it first, then we'll see.

@earthling1988 what was your final assessment of the 3DRap upgrade vs the stock foam? This is a great review from the SimRacingCorner but I'm curious if there are now upgraded foam inserts making the 3DRap less of an upgrade. Thanks in advance for your input.

how close is it to the load cell?
@SimRacingCorner Жыл бұрын
A load cell is a completely different type of sensor, so it's not like a load cell.

@@SimRacingCorner i though load cell is just some added rubers under the pedal
