That’s pretty much a direction Nickelodeon was going, the very bad direction they’re in right now, with their the last remaining Nicktoon from the golden age, Spongebob. If they choose Adventure Time over Jeffy & Leafy, (I call them instead of Fanboy & Chum Chum.) then the network would’ve been different, like shift their focus on Nicktoons instead of their live action series. It would’ve been complete with Spongebob and Fairy OddParents in the ratings. It would’ve been the game changer to open many possibilities. But no, they choose Jeffy & Leafy to be the next Spongebob, it failed misery. The series brings Nickelodeon to it’s downfall.

Not only was this the same creator behind Glitch Techs, but you can see Fanboy and Chum Chum's name on the leaderboards in several episodes(which imply they share a universe which is...interesting to say the least). Also, the shows 3 main villains are meant to be pop culture parodies of stuff of the day. Kyle is Draco because Harry Potter was massive, the Janitor is Palpatine because Star Wars was a big nerd culture thing, Yoi is a Yandere because anime girl. And the ones that aren't from pop culture are the sorts of people pop culture types know. I feel like if this was a show that aired on Nick Jr instead of the normal Nickelodeon channel it wouldn’t have gotten the overwhelming amount of hate that it did, because given how it *feels* like a Nick Jr show it makes it really look like a huge outcast in Nickelodeon’s lineup, it makes everyone stop and go “Why the hell is *THIS* on the same network as SpongeBob or Danny Phantom?” If it was on Nick Jr people would’ve simply ignored it because none of these people would’ve bothered watching something on that channel and thus it would’ve just been another show that none of us really knew existed like most of Nick Jr’s content, and so I think the horrible reputation it has is entirely due to it being a part of the main Nickelodeon channel, because now you see it alongside great shows like SpongeBob, Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron and it just confuses people to no end

I remember seeing this in a DVD trailer off the first Penguins Of Madagascar DVD I ever got! After that I watched a few episodes. At the time they were eh. And then you reviewed the Cold War episode and oh boy did that show age well! I saw you and Strider trash this show! Not the best way to end the 2000s is all I'm sayin'! Next time we start the 2010s and by golly the first cartoon is one you've already reviewed!

This show was a guilty pleasure for me as a kid. While I don't really like it now, I still have to say I like the art style and some of the side characters (Boog is a legend and you can't tell me otherwise), and I don't think it deserved as much hate as it got.

The more I watched this show I realized that this would of been cool if it was similar to drawn together with characters from different genres of media going to a high school. Kyle was a wizard, and FB & CC are superheroes and even the janitor is supposed to be from Star Wars. It would of been cooler if the other characters were parallels to famous characters in media.

I think they picked the name "Fanboy" to emphasize that he's not supposed to be seen as cool, but as the dorky, comic obsessed weird kid at his school. That's kinda the point lol. Chum chum, I'm not sure about.

Before I watch this review, I have to say that Mr Enter’s take will be obvious, this is the most cutting edge, ground breaking show of our time, the social commentary it generates brings new levels of nuance. The satire and wittiness of Fanboy and Chum Chum will lay the groundwork for generations of programming to come and Mr Enter is whole heartedly uplifted to have experienced such a game changer in a time when his life was dark and empty.

This sounds weird, but I always had a soft-spot for this show. Maybe it was because it legitimately distracted me from a lot of shitty things I was going through (middle school), or maybe it's that I just have a "taste" for this sort of stuff, but honestly it was a guilty pleasure. In the same way Dragon Tales was. It was funny, a bit cutting edge, colorful, unique, did a lot of new things, and while it was annoying, it at least blended with the background of what it was trying to do. Maybe I'll watch some Fanboy and ChumChum again.

It's amazing the show creator of FB&CC is also creating Glitch Techs, which seems more action pack and is said to be character-driven along with a french animation studio doing the animation. You can check eric's twitter, where he does snippets of animation showing of the show, it's great.

Agent 8 is susceptible to explode at random. Not to mention the toy can grapple, spit acid ink, and give electric shots. But Fanboy and Chum Chum don't even care, one reason why they are so wacky
