Heck Sanjay is played by Maulik Pancholy who played Baljeet on Phineas and Ferb so this isn't even the first Indian cartoon character he played. Though props for Maulik because I never would of assumed those two had the same VA so the guy does have range.

Shwah Gamers I am surprised that Mr. Enter has not done an admirable Animation video for an episode of “Bob’s Burgers”. Even the worst characters are not completely horrible like his rival Jimmy Pesto sure Bob doesn’t like him, but he would never go so far as to go into his restaurant and taint his food. Plus Bob is a smart caring and often times selfless dad unlike Homer or Peter. Linda is not a complete airhead and she cares about her husband and kids. While the show will do a flashback once in a while there is not cutaways gags or people being jerks just to be jerks. Tina, Gene, and Louise at first might look like Meg, Chris, and Stewie they are not at all because while they each have their own wants and can be angry or upset from time to time none of them would out right go to hurt the other or sell the store’s profits to go and buy something for themselves. I am currently working my way through season 7 on Hulu and the show is still good. I am looking forward to the film this summer.

It’s also worth noting that despite the show’s name, Candace is the actual main character of the show. This isn’t just my assumption, it was confirmed by Dan Povenmire in 2013. Phineas and Ferb themselves are plot devices to help set the story up.

I know this is a joke, but incoming info to explain the absurdity referred to: The issue with those stories is they began as web novels, on sites that don't allow you to have a brief description so the title plays double duty. Studios that adapt from there want to keep the same name to keep the fans so they *refuse* to go by a different name even when the author wants them to. An example can be seen with "Is it okay to pick up girls in a dungeon?" As the author has been trying to get it changed to 'Familia Myth', the story even refers to itself as this with the volumes of the manga adaptation despite having the original title on the cover.

The eyes and noses are different but JC Quintel's signature is in the lack of chins with his characters. Everyone's lower jaw just goes straight into their necks. But Enter is very strange about art styles. He said that Danny Phantom is Butch Heartman's most visually different cartoon not Bunsen is a Beast and no, I disagree. Danny Phantom characters look like Fairly Odd Parents characters just taller and more grown up. Bunsen is a Beast is so different that it's almost impossible not to notice the differences in the crossover episode.

Also, for one, Danny Phantom looks far more "comicesque": the other three are all "toonish", but yes, Bunsen is in both areas far more different than any other of Hartman's work.

God, I miss Animaniacs. It never talked down to its audience, and it had such clever writing. Despite the fact that some people view comedy cartoons and episodic cartoons as inferior to serious, story-arc driven cartoons, Animaniacs is proof that you can make a spectacular comedy cartoon that appeals to people of all ages. It's easily one of the most hilarious shows of all time, and the show's music was amazing too. I'm just praying that the reboot will live up to the original show.

It seems to cater to a neurological state in which not only do most gross things not gross out the intended audience, but the disgust and suffering of those who are grossed out amuses and delights the subject.

In my observations, the only way gross out content can work as part of a joke in a comedy is if it is used, in the same way that gore can sometimes be used for a good scare in a horror film. The disturbing imagery itself should generally be a means to help build up a punchline/scare, rather than the punchline/scare itself. Two examples I can think of are these: the Black Knight getting dismembered in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, right before he turns out be completely unfazed and refuses to give up; the scenes in South Park’s “The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs”, where everyone reads the boys’ book written for shock value, vomits profusely, then thinks it is the most amazing book they read by interpreting deep themes the boys never intended.

@@autobotstarscream765 I am not sure what episode was made about Captain Underpants, since I have only seen a fraction out of the hundreds of South Park episodes made over the decades. But I remember Matt and Trey saying that the episode I mentioned was loosely inspired by "The Funniest Joke In the World" sketch from "Monty Python's Flying Circus". "The Tale of Scrotie McBoogerballs" was the episode, where the boys see "The Catcher in the Rye" on their curriculum and are told by the teacher how controversial it was for its content. But then the boys get disappointed and even think the teachers tricked them into wanting to read it, when they realize how relatively tame the book is. So they try to write their own book with the intent to be as gross and ban-worthy as possible, thinking that they will be able to revel in far greater infamy than "The Catcher in the Rye". But then it backfires and they become genuinely famous, when everyone in town hails it as a literary masterpiece. One of the main aspects of its attempted comedy/satire is based around the idea of critics projecting their own thoughts and ideas onto a story and attributing them to the author's themes, even if that was never the author's intent. I thought that was an example of gross-out humor done right, since the characters uncontrollably vomiting was just there to build up to the real joke, when people love the boys' book even as it grosses them out and it was never written for any other reason.

Good gross-out humor involves genuinely gross things (usually happening at someone else's expense or without their knowledge), but a common problem is that creators who attempt gross-out humor will often ramp up the gross-out without the equivalent payoff/humor. The gross-out shouldn't actually be super disgusting to the audience--it needs to be gross to the characters. But what will often happen is that animators will put so much time and detail into making the gross thing visually disgusting (and sometimes the sound editor will make it sound as nasty as possible), that the audience ends up too disgusted to enjoy the actual joke.

Some times I still laugh at the dumbest things and I guess I can laugh at toliet hummor if it's more than someone makes the sound and then people either laugh/ act like it's toxic. That's just me. Same with most memes, I don't find alot of them funny if they are just inside jokes or spammed alot. I feel like shows like this were also trying to capitalize on the Captain Underpants books at that time, the main characters George and Harold, who are extremely similar, but actually do have some differences. Harold was more shy and timid and had the typical "head in the clouds" artist brain, while George was more bold and outspoken, and more intelligent than his grades could show. Speaking of which, the movie and cartoon series for CU are so good!

Why did I enjoy this show as a kid? When the show came out I was a weird 8 year old and I remember trying to act like Sanjay all the time as a kid like eating wings like him, farting like him, remembering all his quotes, and making fan fictions and I rewatched it and cringe really hard 😂

At first I was really interested in the show, because I have never seen a cartoon depicting a friendship of a boy with a snake. The sad part is that if Craig was a kid. Probably because although the title has "Finn and Jake", it's the caption. The first thing you hear/read is "Adventure Time", which tells you that it's an Adventure show. This is better than if it were just "Finn and Jake", because it tells you its genre, unlike "Finn and Jake", which would only tell you that it's about two characters.

The only episode of Sanjay and Craig I thought was close to OK was the one where they were on Family Double Dare (the episode being "Trouble Dare"). The only reason I thought that about the episode was because of the amount of DETAIL they went into for the Family Double Dare part - from the logos and color schemes, and set styling being damn good, to Marc Summers AND HARVEY (announcer from 1986 (original Double Dare's premiere) to the 1990 Family Double Dare season) being cast for their respective personalities, to ACTUALLY USING THE MUSIC CUES from Double Dare - as opposed to other shows that did a Double Dare esque parody, and had styles SIMILAR to the show, music kinda SIMILAR to the music in the show, etc. As bad as the show as a whole was, I have to give them props for paying attention to detail in that episode. It does not redeem the show at all, but one doesn't need to feel it does to recognize/respect that attention to detail.

Let's continue on with the ranking of how I believe Mr. Enter feels about each and every show that he views. Again, this is what I think HE feels; it's not a ranking based on the quality of the show that anyone else thinks. And this is just for FUN, so don't get upset. But, this is why The Legend Of Korra was at the bottom of the list: Enter literally said he was insulted by the show and it was offensive what they did to Avatar. That alone is why it was at the bottom of the list, in my eyes. Everything above it, Enter never really said it was "offensive" or "insulting". He just said it was annoying, stupid, boring, or awful. But when you actually get offended by a show, that makes it the worst of the worst. You can't argue with this. So, the only reason I'm not ranking it dead last anymore is because Enter specifically said in this video Sanjay & Craig was "the absolute worst". So, I listen to what he says carefully. The only episode of this show I watched was the one where Sanjay was home alone because Craig had to go to the vet or something? And the guy had never been alone before apparently and he was confused when he heard himself think for the first time. That's all I can remember. That, and there was a weird joke with Craig's butt at the end.

I remember watching this show when i was younger. I didnt look foward to any episodes, it was just something that was on frequently. I do remember it being a good show to turn of my brain and watch to escape from the homework i had due tomorrow. I dont remember ever laughing, but i do remember being sort of invested in the show. Entranced by the weird and jagged and strange shapes on the screen. About a month after i discovered this show, my mom bought a dvd of "Rockos modern life." I forgot this show even existed, But i weirdly do have a lot of clear memories of it. Looking back, i wouldn't call it a good show, but i also wouldnt lable it the worst, at least not for the time it came out in. I dont want to revisit and watch through it again, but looking back at the short amount of time my family had cable, this is the only other show that i can remember well (the other being adventure time).

hello! i wanna start writing video essays. ive been watching all types of media on youtube for as long as i could remember, which may not be alot because im a junior in highschool- but still! Ive been following your videos for quite a while and its nice to know that im able to see a reviewer whos concious of his mistakes and recognizes he can better himself, essentially setting boundaries on what he will review and wont reveiw because of how- like, worthy and impactful it might be.
