I think when you initially write a song, it's exciting because it expresses a thought or feeling you had within, but now it's out. But after a while, the same initial excitement wears off, and the feelings with it fade. After that, it can still be exciting to sing the same song, but not for yourself anymore, but for the joy it gives to others. So I think, for an artist, as long as others appreciate the song, it's not tiring to sing the same old thing.
@RunUphillBackwards7 жыл бұрын
The interview is really sweet - Grace is adorable by default, but incredibly bright and funny! Seeing her sing Moonlight with this much emotion in her face and joy in her eyes, I tell you, it's just the most incredible experience for me as a viewer. I mean it isn’t bad to be compared to Taylor Swift.That only means that she has very good writing skills. Taylor won a lot of awards that would be good if it also happens to Grace
@gnihtemos5 жыл бұрын
The similarity to Taylor Swift is that: A. She's young, tall, thin, blonde and very cute (She looks like she could be Taylor's little sister) B. She's writing her own songs and, like Swift, she uses a natural vocal, rather than a 'trained vocal' style. C. Her movements are much like an Early Taylor Swift. And she's apparently on a fast track to success. ~ This is not to say that she has no originality, because she does. But there are also some stark similarities.

I had not seen the full interview. Thanks! There is a common thought - far too often proved right, unfortunately - that kids thrust into stardom at an early age are destined for trouble, and while that may be true for a lot of young stars, in Grace's case it seems to have unlocked her full cognitive abilities. Compare this interview to her Ellen interview just one, short year ago. She is SO smart and mature for her age, no doubt forged in the fires of so much celebrity and responsibility in the past year. Time will tell, but I have a feeling that Grace will be one of the prime examples of how this kind of pressure cooker can be a great thing given the right family dynamic to help keep her stable, grounded, and loved.

Teen years are tough for anyone, especially today. I trust Grace and her family to weather any storms, but that's not to say all will be perfect. All I can do is be one voice of positive energy and encouragement in an ocean of supporters (and some doubters). I think fan support means a lot to her, I hope it does. Maybe that will help tip the scales a little if things get a little rough. I feel I owe her that, at the very least.

DynamiteToadie The main differences between Grace and other young girls that begin their singing careers at her age are threefold; 1) Grace's parents neither crave celebrity or the money Grace makes or will make, 2) Grace is an artist creating her own music, able to literally and artistically own what she produces, which allows her to express herself and be proud of what she creates rather than have strangers force her to sing other people's inferior works, 3) Lastly, Grace is not the product of a factory like Disney or Nickelodeon who bully and beat down young girls into whatever mould they like, essentially programming them for servitude by other industry sharks to follow. As Fredee mentioned, teen years are turbulent for everyone, but Grace has the most solid foundation I've ever seen to survive, and thrive, the storm of fame, fortune and notoriety that's brewing before her.

Though I do hope she won't get involve in any drama/scandals, it's still far too early to tell. It's barely been 2 years.

Better than a summers night walk in the moonlight with a cool breeze blowing by and a million stars up in the sky. So much life in you Grace. I just am so amazed every time I hear and see you perform. I sit here shaking my head wondering if I am dreaming.

What also makes her unique, is, the fact that she knows how to play the ukulele. Whenever I hear a song involving a ukulele, I automatically think of her; whether it's her playing or not.

Jim Hess she did forget the words because you saw her look back and you even heard it in the backing track.

Esmeralda you should watch some of her videos where she's singing out side, like Rapapo, not sure I spelled that right. She has so much fun up there on stage and has a great laugh when she messes up. I can see a 30 thou concert in the future where she screws up and the whole place going nuts anticipating it, because Grace is so natural
