I suspect again she didn't keep care of her voice before this show. Probably yelling and fooling around with her sister the night before because this is not a normal voice for her.

Grace would normally grab the mic and start keeping time with her fingers and dominate but I noticed she let Ingrid hold center stage; just one more example of why Grace is the best person in the world right now. She's indicated that new songs will drop in January; I've listened to all of her songs, watched all of her concert performances, watched her on AGT dozens of times. This will be heaven. I know the songs will be amazing.

Yeah, that attests to her integrity as an artist. But she says she can't wait for people to hear her new songs so I suspect they will be amazing. Also, she had her own tour, then toured with Imagine Dragons. Started a music program for a local school,(Little Miracles Choir) and funded it with her own money. I mean, how the hell does she find the time to go to school? But she never ceases to amaze me. I've never seen anything like her before.

Love Ingrid Michaelson, absolutely love her, she is great, my wife introduced me to her, and she does not disappoint. However, I have to be honest, the second Grace Vanderwaal opens her mouth, Ingrid who? comes to mind. That voice has like this sharp pointed attack that enters your body on a cellular level and makes your cells dance, in other words, major, major, major chills. Their voices are great together! But Grace is my girl, absolutely adore that girl so much. Love to both performers, Homerun straight up!

Grace has different types of singing, she has her airy soft voice as in her first phrase. Then Grace has her raspy thing when she wants it, and she has her bold voice, she also has an ear for blues phrasing. She starts out soft and graduates to a "louder version of soft" to match Ingrid's volume. So Grace is working up there, and to pull it off with such a cute girly thing that is perfect for a 14 yr old. I also dug Ingrid's "Imelda May" hair tribute.

I'm not so sure that Grace's nerves (which she sang through just fine) were a reaction to today's show. She is going to be under enormous pressure and judged by the whole world with her next release. How could one not be nervous? I think today reminded her of what's coming, and she reacted to that, as today was just a holiday collab. If she's not performing her release day, she can be as nervous as she wants to be, chilling at home. After she gets support from her fans, she'll probably relax. I have a feeling she has some dynamite material coming, and I"m sure she's confident of it, but here we go again: unworldly pressure. But I think she'll be fine.

She has been performing for large audiences and kept her cool after being stung by a bee. Excellent point, I agree. But It's her fans, mostly the Fandewaals, who know her so well due partly to her choice to be a continual presence on socmed, that are picking and judging. She knows her fans will do anything for her. It's not like we're making an overall decision about how we feel about Grace. She wants us to be honest because she already knows how we feel. All artists want to improve, and how is she going to do that if every response is "oh, that was totally perfect"? Yes, she has fans that can be over-the-top and obsessive (guess that gender and age bracket), but they're understood to be so. At least their hearts are in the right place. And lastly, perhaps not the "whole" world, but she has "friends in high places" entering this new year traveling with her, and, if a might disagree a little, just about "everybody" knows Grace now.

Both sounded beautiful but I feel like Grace was holding herself back a bit and trying to let Ingrid take the bigger part as it’s her song but at 2:08 I couldn’t help but notice Grace’s voice soaring higher... Either way I think it’s Great that Grace never tries to upstage others when she’s performing with them. They each sounded lovely.
