Some of his films deserve a video of their own. Gracias Maestro Buñuel por el surrealismo !!!

The Golden Age was banned for nearly 50 years in France. Buñuel perhaps of all of histories directors is not talked about enough I feel. Many of his films are not yet recognized as the brilliant films that they are. To me there's way too much focus from the media and critics about his distain for the Catholic Church in his work, but really he was so much more than that, and many of his films say much, much more than that. Love this director/storyteller. To me, he's easily among the most impressive all in all. In many of his films we see characters with integrity, and other characters and/or groups with very little. I think he just loved to show how silly and even terrible people can be about things. He was a provoker for certain, he wanted to inspire truly better from people. It is clear in his work. Kubrick admired Buñuel a lot, and I think we also see some of Luis in Stanley's films. David Lynch of course also.

Great video, just learn to pronounce correctly at least his name. I know you don't have that sound, but it isn't "Bunuel", it's closest to "Bunyehl". In Portuguese they have it as NH as in Ronaldinho (in Spanish we often write it as Ronaldiño)

The point of language is to convey an idea. You obviously knew who he was talking about, otherwise how could you critique him? Therefore, his words did their job. Nothing in this world harms you less than how someone says a word. Get over it.

@@bobthabuilda1525 okay but there's no harm in letting people know the proper pronunciation of the director's name (considering how Americans relentlessly butcher foreign names). I'm pretty sure his intention was to help and inform rather than put down anyway. Don't take it personally if you don't possess the linguistic faculties :)

@@sabrinastarcat3499 no harm but I think the way the first guy stated his comment was as if the video creator purposely said the name wrong. The “ñ” doesn’t exist in English, so it would just be “Bunuel” and the spelling won’t be changed just to make it sound the way it should be (much too confusing i’d think). The video was created as an appreciation to the great film director so his comment was unnecessary as it was neither related to the director’s work or the video content (which are one in the same).

Robinson Crusoe more particularly is damaging, more distruptive in literature formally, movie lecture whose target in entangibile subjectives of social unequality and slow employment in the 1890-1900's time is occupied by many, jungle-based uncertains in the hypermoralitized world. Many useful for the post-Reformation conflict of pagans & catholic it was trilogy "Nazarin", "Simon of Desert", and "Viridiana".

It is not ture that Lorca was killed by fascists. Lorca made friends with José Antonio, the leader of Falange, the cloest group to fascism. At the begining of the war he was in Madrid, that was taken over by the left. He escaped to his home in Granada. Then he went to the house of his friend Luis Rosales, a falangist poet, where he thought he would be secured, Some people took him and killed him. It has to do with people who took the revenge on him because Lorca`s father had ruined them. It`s all propaganda.
