Fanmade Scene Remake (Silent Hill 2: James Meets Angela)

This was a project that we made as fans of Silent Hill 2 and the unique effect the cutscenes has on its viewers. The goal was to come close to recreate that atmosphere in a live action version of this iconic scene where James meets Angela.
This video has not been uploaded to gain profit or support for anyone involved in the project but rather as a celebration of the Silent Hill franchise and the inspiration it has given so many people. The characters, story and soundtrack are copyright and trademark of their respective holders.

@@fakewerk4876 It would be great but sadly we don’t have any right to make anything bigger as Silent Hill’s an owned IP. This was a tiny homage and practice in filmmaking but a larger project would be the wrong way to go. We can only hope that a future Silent Hill movie will be made for the right reason, to be true to fans.

The girl has nailed Angela's character and personality. I applauded her for her amazing acting. James, though, needs to work on his acting and on his understanding of James. I mean, acting is all about skills and I hate to say it but the actress who played Angela felt natural! She wasn't just acting but she actually understand her which makes her movements more natural IMO.

@salazar556 silent hill hasn't been good since debatably 4 the room, so youre kidding yourself if you think i want a new game. This is nothing different. Konami doesn't understand their own franchises, the only reason the snake eater remake looks good at all is because it's literally almost shot for shot like the original and they didn't even re record the dialogue. Maybe if they did the same to silent hill 2 then I would think different. But silent hill 2 was lightning in a bottle and will never be recaptured unless they took every scene and kept them shot for shot and didn't redo the voice acting and only updated gameplay and graphics but nope, we couldn't get something that simple. This shit is gonna suck hard

The casual acting in this mimics the casual acting in the original game spot on. The HD remake voice acting made me feel disconnected from the surrealness of the original, but this hits so many of the same notes as the original game did.

We knew that this would at least get a couple of hundred views because the Silent Hill fanbase is so huge, but this is so crazy! It’s quite sad that Konami doesn’t do anything with this IP since there are so many freaking people that crave more. It could only be a win-win scenario if they did decide to finance another feature film adaptation of our favorite horror franchise. This video was merely an experiment at recreating a scene from a video game but we also hope that filmmakers that want to make video game adaptations learn that fans don’t really want deviations from the source material. The fun part of adapting a video game to movie format should be to ask yourself how close you can come to the source material and still make a good film. Anyways, thank you all for your lovely comments! We read every single one and are so touched by all the love that exists in this fanbase! A lot of questions have come up about whether we will make more Silent Hill film remakes like this and the answer is: maybe. We probably won’t make another scene remake like this one but a Silent Hill inspired fan short film would be freaking awesome to make.
