I love how up until now, Joel has stepped up as a caretaker physically, but in the moment he finds her and sees how traumatized she is, he is there for Ellie emotionally. I won’t be able to get Bella’s screams out of my head for a while. I really hope Bella and Pedro get Emmy nominations (and win).

@@DeRockMedia complain is a strong word I’ll admit, it’s just weird to have people talking about the game frequently while watching the show. So I prefer staying away from the people who have already watched for this particular show. No hate to those channels though!

@@PizzaHutCEO I am literally obsessed with The Last of Us as a game. I’ve been obsessed since 2013. I can separate the two and enjoy the show so much. Bella and Pedro are so phenomenal as Ellie and Joel. I truly don’t understand how it’s so hard for some of these people to let go of their elitism and just enjoy the show for what it is. It’s like they want a carbon copy of a 12 hr animated cinematic event. It’s so weird.

The "meat" they were all eating was that girl's father. Or at least, it's heavily implied it is. It's why they couldn't bury him despite being requested by the daughter. They had already chopped him all up and prepared him for consumption.

Another great great reaction! You guys are so AWESOME. This is actually the hardest part of the game for me. You know how many times David killed me?! And I'm playing as little Ellie and I had to watch her die a dozen times which is just wrong. And no I am not hungry! But yes Denise, I will kill everybody. Only 1 left! 😥

"When you are lost in the darkness, look for the light" Joel who lives in the (his) darkness has found the light in Ellie. At the same time, she loses hers through him and the world he shows her. Another low point for Ellie, a turning point, so to speak. Here the animal in Ellie came out with her overkill and the experience she had to make. Almost r*p*d and eaten. Here she experiences for the first time the worst abyss in man. I think if you've seen Ellie's past reactions to losses, there wasn't much anger involved. She swallowed Sam's death completely. Here in their outburst really everything came out, which was not seen before. There is no more a way back for her. She will not be the same. The episode is also important for the future. It shows what Ellie is capable of. A dark side in her that people like David recognize. I also think it's cool that the torture scene actually showed us explicitly how Joel has proceeded over the last 20 years. This was the first time it was really shown why everyone was afraid of Joel in episode 1. A nice Tess callback from Ellie was also present in the conversation with David. Luck run out sooner or later. The father of the girl Joel killed will always be with her. I'm sure she enjoyed the meal. That's macabre. 😁 And here is Troy Baker (Game Joel) in a not so small role as David's henchman James. You can even hear Joel out of his voice from time to time. I also didn't think that one day I would have to see Ellie kill Joel. There will be another big timejump. At the beginning of the next episode they will already be in Salt Lake City. Also, we'll see Ashley Johnson, who was Ellie in the game.
