It will hold together better combined. The tail section on Dreadwind will click into place - but - it doesn’t obviously feel like it will. When folding the tail up for combined mode, you need to push it flat hard. If it is clicked in, and then Darkwing clicks around it, the thing is solid in the middle

I had the old uni2 version of this character (the Silverbolt repaint) & loved that guy even though he was a repaint & this colour scheme is really awesome. Also, murder butterfly? So he's Morpho Knight? (props if you get the reference)

Fans Hobby just does it right with their figures. I know this one has had some detrimental factors(especially with the wings), but the end result is fantastic. Where else are you going to get MP scale Masterforce figures? Bring on the Decepticon Headmaster Jrs and Autobot Powermasters!

I suppose my one complaint is that I wish they had incorporated the cockpit into the torso more like Dreadwind, if only just to clean up the backpack a bit more by hiding it away.

It's a bummer the combined jet mode doesn't work out so well because that was an awesome gimmick with the OG toys😥 I'm really glad that Fans Hobby is doing the Power Masters and I'm hoping they complete the Autobots as well.

One of the coolest visual elements of the combined mode originally was the big turbine on the back of the combined jet and this set lacks that, which is rather disappointing. And looking now that was only on the Marvel comic model sheet not the G1 toy (and I couldn't find any screenshots of them from the anime at all) so basically the combined mode has never been cool. Still these are nice updates to the characters, I always dug them (mainly because I had G1 Dreadwind as a kid) and I am always here for G1 style packaging.

This is better than dreadwind, still the bulk is an eye sore. They sacrificed the cockpit section which appears too large. The fighter combine mode is lacking. Ignoring the way how the g1 transformed is not good.
