Fam if ur ready to give an album a 10/10 but ur not declaring it more than a top 10 album of a year less than halfway through the year ur way too easy on 10s. 10s shouldn’t even be dished out yearly. They r very special, I’m not sure there r even 10 albums in all of music history I would give a 10 (in reality it is probably about 10-15 but idk Man U have to be pretty extreme). Only the best of the best get that rating. Something has to be on a different level. Amazing doesn’t mean 10/10, super creative and mind blowing doesn’t mean 10/10. 10/10 is an accolade saved for the most special of albums. The albums that blow your mind but stick with you. The albums that you can’t stop thinking about for years. The albums that change your perspective on music and life. That’s a 10. That’s a to pimp a butterfly, that’s a dark side of the moon, that’s an ok computer, that’s a in the aeroplane over the sea, that’s a the black parade, that’s a disintegration. I respect ur love for this album but u gotta alter ur ratings systems. Also this comment was not meant to be mean or confrontational I was just tryna speak my mind on the topic. This generations tpab. Thank you Denzel for coming at this with love, thought and care. I'm gonna go back to listening to this album for the 12th time. Edit:been listening to this album over and over again i still see it as the kind of writing and introspective of tpab (sacrificing your mind to help others through tough times)but I saw that i put the best songs up first and swept away the more meh ones (jon Wayne) after careful thought I can't see it as great as tpab. But it is still a great album more of a DAMN but i am excited to see where Denzel goes in The future cause if he keeps going the way he is one day we will get an album on the same level as tpab (still hoping for a deluxe on this masterpiece).

I think the real soul of hip hop, the thing that separates it from other genres, is that it comes from such a love and sense of honor for its musical roots and incorporates their sounds in a way that's familiar, but that gives you an appreciation for the music that inspires it. Besides the album it’s good to see Denzel in a better place at the moment, I think the people who understand his music don’t care that we are not getting the imperial and taboo style now and are just happy to see Denzel doing well and trying different sounds.

Thanks Denzel for the great music and for being so open about your problems. I had a similar experience in 2019 where I had everything, but nothing at the same time. I realized that I was an alcoholic and a pretty average human being. I was cruising through life, but I wasn't taking care of the ones that I loved and I definitely wasn't taking care of myself. Thanks for the talk again, it really made me feel better about my own journey. I'm almost two years sober and I've never been happier even if it's a work in progress. Sending good vibes your way to everyone in the comments section. ✌️

Such an engaging conversation. Denzel is a passionate artist and it shows through this interview and ESPECIALLY through the new album. The way he's opening up about his therapy and his struggles with his mental health is fantastic and gives me a deeper appreciation for his work and his spirit.

Denzel curry has always been one of my favorite rappers. I find his ability to speak his mind but also produce lyrical masterpiece is absolutely brilliant. The mindset he has that makes him want to be different from the crowd lets him experiment with some outlandish ideas such as the collaborative album with Kenny Beats and Ta13oo. As I continue to listen to his full discography I find such versatility in his work and I am able to see how big of an influence he has on the underground and mainstream rap/hip-hop industry.
