Great budget scope for someone starting out, the Firefield RapidStrike 1-6x24 LPVO has great glass and a great value for the money, with added bonus, a throw lever and mount.

Just got one yesterday and mounted it on my AR-- never heard of this brand before, but the product seems to be really well constructed. Can't wait to take to the range to zero.

Slight correction: The "24" refers to the unobstructed objective lens diameter. It is likely a 30mm scope _tube._

This regularly goes on sale for $119 on Amazon. I’ve upgraded to a Steiner 1-4, but I got a good few years out of mine. It was my first lpvo to see if I liked the platform and it worked well enough it took me a col years to upgrade. It’s light, inexpensive and the bdc lines up on a 16” with 55 and 62 grain pretty well.

@christoperdevore3617
@christoperdevore3617 Ай бұрын
@@warrenharrison9490 dude, I wrote out a long damn review of another optic😂. I didn’t look at the comment you were replying to and thought this was on another optic. 🤷🏼‍♂️ The battery life was just fine on this. You obviously can’t just leave it on and it’s been a solid optic really. My biggest complaint is the reticle could be so much better with a cpl simple upgrades. Stadia lines at 3 and 9 to help draw the eye and illuminating the whole reticle including the bdc ladder instead of just the dot and horse shoe was a mistake in my opinion. It’s light, has been durable for me and at 120 to 150 it’s a solid buy. If you want a daylight bright fiber wire style for the same price point, Monstrom has a 1-6 with the bdc c1 daylight bright reticle for the same price. I believe the weight is within an ounce. I picked it up as a backup to my Steiner. (Retired and I can’t afford a bunch for backup stuff) I don’t have near as much time on it though. Sighted it in and put it through a cpl easy range sessions to make sure it wouldn’t turn to dust just for handling it, then I swapped the Steiner back on. The Redfield is now backup to backup. lol. I have more confidence in the Redfield but that’s just because I have a bunch more time on it. I just like the fiber wire reticles better for short boys. This has all been done a 12.5 for the most part. I upgraded my 16” to a 4-14 ffp scope for more precision. I only had to change the battery once I believe to answer your first question. But I only used the illumination inside and dusk or dawn. The illumination is not suited for outside daytime use. It’s really not necessary for that though. Hope that helps you out.

Depends on the use and caliber maybe just range shooting with a 5.56 but know there more affordable lpvos can't handle serious use or being bounced around in field or hunting or even shifted on my 300 blackout that doesn't have much more recoil then a 5.56
