Fun fact - Jessica Biel got SO GOOD with the bow working on this that when they shot her shooting the plague arrow at Dracula she was SO on target she acxtually WIPED OUT the camera. In the DVD's behind the scenes stuiff there's a great piece of blooper b-roll showing her looking first horrified, then cracking up laughing as she realised what she'd done.

FPS in this case is Feet per Second. Those variables affect how fast your bow shoots an arrow, which is measured in feet per second. The higher the number, the faster your arrow is flying. Most hunting setups propel arrows 270 to 285 fps.

This movie is actually the reason I’m alive today. I was going through a divorce in 2009. My ex took everything I had clothes, car, house, etc. I was drinking a lot and got to a point where I wanted to take my life. One night I was drinking almost completely wasted, watching this movie on the verge of suicide then Ryan’s character at the end of the movie was doing his Deadpool thing. Talking shit to the other vampires. It was so funny I had a wake up call of sorts. Inner voice in my head said it’s not worth taking your life over this. So I took it upon myself to deal with life differently a lot like Ryan using sarcasm to deal with my insecurities. It still works for me till this day. So movie means a lot to me for that. Also this movie is the reason why Ryan took on the role of Deadpool. One of the producers told him he would be a great fit for the character. So they gave Ryan a Deadpool comic. He opened it up and the first page was Deadpool himself saying. I look like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a sharpe! Ryan even used a little bit of that line in the first Deadpool film. I was bit by a radioactive sharpe.

The Blood Bags were actually introduced in the first Blade movie, and can even be seen in the very first Blood Rave scene, when they are walking through the meat packing plant. The plot point was jettisoned, but a deleted scene shows Deacon Frost explaining to Karen that the Blood Bags would be used to feed from, when everyone is transformed into vampires by La Magra.

The amount of behind the scenes drama this film had was just insane. It's hard to believe who is right and who is wrong anymore regarding the failure of this film. All I can say is that I think Wesley Snipes didn't like the idea of Blade working with other Vampire Hunters in the story. He wanted it to be a solo act of sorts like the previous 2 films where he is the last man standing.

But as Drake said all this time Vampires was trying to make a stronger vampire, but fail to realize they already made that vampire, which was Blade...so actually Deacon Frost actually did something that older vampires couldn't do even if it was an accident. Also it is kind of amazing that a non pure blood vampire created a powerful hybrid vampire...if he wasn't an asshole and could've seen beyond his own arrogance, he would've seen that and probably actually be proud of Blade...but then again he could be in Hell telling the pureblood to suck it as he was the vampire that created Blade...(It's not like they could kill him)

Marvel Studios has been trying to get a reboot made for years now... It's starting to look like it's just not gonna happen. Not anytime soon anyway. They announced the new movie with Mahershala Ali like 5 years ago, and they still keep pushing it back for rewrites. I'll bet every comic in my closet that when the movie does get made, it won't be with Mahershala Ali. He's not getting any younger.

The only genuinely great thing that came out of this movie is that it is almost the direct cause for inspiring Ryan Reynolds to play Deadpool. Let me clarify, so back in 2005 after this movie was released a movie producer who is also a big comic fan called Ryan and told him that if they ever make a Deadpool movie he should play it because of how his character in this movie is so much like Wade Wilson. Ryan said he didn’t know who Deadpool was so the producer sent him some comics. And in the first page of the first one he read an old woman asks Deadpool what he looks like under the mask and Deadpool says “I look Like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Shar-Pei”. And after that he fell in love with the comics.

When she was shooting arrows through the chronograph, it showed FPS - feet per second. A number of factors affect this in archery, but most high-performance hunting compounds nowadays shoot over 300 feet per second. To put that in perspective, that's the length of a football field...in one second.

This is the VERY FIRST MOVIE that Ryan Reynolds got jacked for and he's kept it for every role after this. Him and Jessica Biel got down to low single number digits for percentage of body fat for their roles. They both came to work and did what they needed to. It was the poor direction and editing that screwed this movie, it was the fact that New Line didn't allow Wesley Snipes to pick the director for this one, as they did with the previous ones (which he ended up suing New Line btw), that fucked this movie into the ground. David Goyer is great as a writer most of the time. Don't let him direct, because it will look like a TV budgeted action show instead of looking amazing like the last two movies.

While low body fat in single digits may be "good" for a woman to appear athletic, it's not healthy for her in the long run. She'll lose her menstrual cycles. Women have naturally higher body fat percentages than men for that reason. Many female athletes lose their cycles because they take the body fat % too low.

Was the problem Goyer, or was it Snipes himself? By all accounts, Snipes was a nightmare to work with on this film. He hated sharing the spotlight or his third film being used to springboard a potential spin-off. Snipes refused to leave his trailer at times, barely let Goyer shoot basic close-ups, and his stunt double did most of the long shots. Reynolds remarked that he was not sure if he ever met Wesley Snipes, just Blade a few times, who apparently hated his guts.

The Action, the snarky comments and 1 liners. I have watched Trinity then Wolverine Origins, then the 3 DPool movies as a Wade Wilson Mini Marathon. It's also funny with Jessica Biel being a kind of Hawkeye in this movie because i said way back that Ryan was my pick to play Hawkeye in a Avengers Movie Pre MCU. Danica Talos was not in The Comics. She was made up for the film like Nomak, Damaskinos and his lawyer, Scud, the Reapers and the Bloodpack were in the previous film and Karen, Dragonetti, Curtis, Quinn, Mercury and Pearl in the first film. There was a Whistler in The Comics but he was a demon and Ghost Rider villain, not a mentor figure for Blade.(That was Jamal Afari and Blade`s birth father Lucas Cross, both of whom were eventually turned into vampires by Deacon Frost and Steppin` Razor respectively, forcing Blade to stake them through the heart with wooden crosses).Abraham Whistler was actually made for the first film`s script and was originally introduced(Voiced by Malcolm McDowell,no less) in an episode of "Spider-Man The Animated Series" also including Blade and Morbius the Living Vampire.(Who was intended to be the main villain of Blade II but New Line Cinema notoriously fiddled with the embargo and copyrights till they slipped through their fingers which they tend to do so the Morbius,Venom,Deadpool and many other spin-offs of darker MARVEL characters remained in Development Hell for years). In the Comics, Hannibal King was turned by Deacon Frost like Blade, he was also older, blond, a hard-boiled detective and clean-shaven.(Ya, they already gave Comics King`s personality and physical traits to Blade: Stoicism, guilt, muscular, self-hating part vampire or ex-vamp so they had to basically make King a more acerbic, foul-mouthed, irreverent and lighthearted character which combined with the casting of "Van Wilder`s" Ryan Reynolds pissed Wesley Snipes off who was dealing with tax evasion lawsuits from the IRS at the time and thusly was already in a mood which can be generously described as "fairly shit").

Danica was created for the movie(s), as were Whistler and Abby(Hannibal King, however, is from the comics); Blade: the Series is set some months after the events of Blade: Trinity; David Goyer actually wrote all three movies; There was some talk of a Nightstalkers spin-off franchise, but it didn't pan out. Ryan Reynolds starred in the original pilot for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, as a Leading Man type, before his comedic roles; Dominic Purcell(Drake) also played Mick Rory/.Heatwave in Legends of Tomorrow
