In my headcannon, this issue was marvel first big event. Sure, it is just a simple annual issue of the F4 and not miniseries with tie-ins like Secret Wars and Infinity Gauntlet, but it does what an event should do, bring all these heroes together to a big adventure. I even think this story can be consider the F4 Endgame, as it has all the heroes that Marvel had create at that time, all people who the F4 have met in their previous stories to one big battle against the villains

I think it fully earns the championship belt of Marvel's first big event story. Even if the majority of other characters were only in a couple panels at most, making them more cameos than anything else, it still was a massive, company-wide crossover the likes of which really hadn't been seen up to that point.

Probably can be counted as the 1st ever crossover too! But with the lowest stakes, just a wedding party dealing with a bunch of gatecrashers. Have always loved that final cameo with Stan and Jack getting the boot from Fury😄Never noticed that Patsy Walker cameo before until you mentioned it!

I wouldn't go so far as "first" crossover ever, since I would say that things like the formation of the Justice Society of America and the Avengers were actually crossovers that became permanent new groups, but this was still a uniquely huge crossover of a very different type!

It's crazy to think now, but their comic was running for about 4 years before the two got married!
