I really appreciate you doing these videos dude... The detail and progressions that you go through really help me connect with the stories that I loved from my adolescence that I inevitably lost touch with while becoming a grown man, military man, disabled veteran, husband and father, and, coming full circle right back to the excited "kid" waiting for next month's comic release. People always ask the question “what super power would you want” when I talk to people they always say flight or super strength, or teleportation. I always say unlimited mental powers. Basically the ability to have anything my mind can think of happen. You can give yourself any super power. Wanna fly? Do it. Want super strength? Make your body indestructible and as powerful as physically possible. You’d have unlimited telepathy and telekinesis. You could see inside things, view the world as an rts game from above, see through time, control people, manipulate their timelines and back stories. You could create an entire universe. Anything.

Why has Reed never considered creating a human clone that is cosmetically identical to Grimm's original body and then create a device to allow him to swap his mind between the Grimm clone body and The Thing body? It's not as if mind swapping has never happened in Marvel before.

@@Davidsworldtravels The point about reality warped is very valid as well. Reed himself has been friends with Owen Reece who could fix Ben and his own son could as well. Not to mention we just saw that the mutant population mastered the science of copying minds into cloned bodies but you can bet it'll never occur to the writers that it's the perfect cure for Ben's condition.

@@1mezion Generally the arguement can be made that part of Ben's character is his resentment of being trapped in an inhuman body. But it's been that way for so long now that there's really no excuse to not progress his character beyond that or explore it in different ways. Many characters in Marvel, mainly mutants, have been through the same situation that Ben is in and continued to be interesting after they came to terms with that. In this instance Ben gets a narrative similar to Jennifer Walters though.

So since Rob has been going over this run ive been reading the run on marvel unlimited. He's not wrong because, Man let me tell you something, There's a couple points within that story with specific run specifically, that has brought this grown man to tears, the interaction of Reed and future Franklin and Reeds realization he has missed out on his son gives me the feels of how my sons an I relationship is and how close we have gotten even as he has gotten older. Favorite run in marvel by far.

Rob find Franklin wielding godly powers that scares Galactus cool and interesting in a story. I find Franklin losing all his powers, feels powerless and have to find his place and come to learn mortality interesting. One of the best decisions made in developing his character.
