The Tarrich duchy has Tarbeck hall as its capital. So I’m pretty sure it’s newly annihilated by Tywin. That’s why it isn’t formed and patchy, with directly Tywin ruled counties and remaining vassals

So mod within a mod. At 17:51 you start talking about the duchy of the Golden Road. In the base AGOT's mod the county of Brixworth in owned by the Paynes. Their is a non-canon house contained within a submod called AGOT Minor House Flavor. In that mod, the creators have made Brixworth controlled by a family called "Bricker." Their sigil is a red brick castle wall. They added an entire backstory about them being originally a riverland house ousted by a rival house (peake v. manderly vibes), but eventually landed after decades of toiling as mining supervisors for House Payne (I believe). They even have a backstory about a family Valyrian sword lost north of the wall by a dead Bricker Nights Watchman and the ability to launch a quest to retrieve it. There's even the possibility to reclaim your lost lands in the Riverlands and recreate your former Duchy tier title there. I've said it before, but this mod and it's submods are just pure gold. So many options. Thank you for doing all of these videos.

@@150qwertyu Honestly man, this mod is one of the best. I know you asked for similar ones, but if you are looking for more fleshed out minor houses, this is the mod for you. I only named the Brickers, a completely non-canon house made up for the mod, but this one covers 50 (!) minor houses. Not all of them get the love this house does, which is why I mentioned them specifically, but there are plenty of canon houses covered too. The Reynes, the Yronwoods, the Royce's, the Blackwood's, the Bracken's, the Hornwood's, the Manderly's, the Peake's, the dirty-nasty Bolton's, the Redwyne's etc.

This is cool as hell. As a major ASOIAF fan, I have no idea what this game is but it looks awesome! When I saw this video pop up I figured this game was mostly made up of random non-cannon history for all these houses just to give them some backstory for the game but this info is mostly from the books & this is pretty much an extremely in-depth look into the houses of Westeros. Also I love how they actually created sigils & lords for Lannets, Lantels, & Lannys and how they gave Lannisters of Lannisport a different sigil than the main branch which is how it should be, though they could’ve come up with something better than adding some waves to it. I thought the Lannisport Lannisters banner should just have the regular sigil colors reversed like the Blackfyres with a crimson Lion on a golden background which would be cool or just the OG sigil with a gold border or something. The Westerlands have some awesome houses (besides the Lannisters) like House Greenfield & their Weirwood Castle & one of my favorite houses period which is House Banefort who’s sigil is awesome & their first men kings wore hoods & practiced necromancy. One of the Banefort kings was killed by the Lannisters & they fed his body to lions but right before he died, he cursed the Lannisters & eventually the Lord & his sons were killed by the same lions years later.

House Hamell's coat of arms represents a "manche" (or in english "maunch"), which is old french for "sleeve". It is basically a lady's dress long sleeve. In blazonry, old french is used for nearly every element in heraldry.

I defenitly disagree with the point that Tywin is needlessly cruel and an insecure thug. I think all his brutal means had some pragamatic reasoning behind them, especially given that he conciders fear the only logical and desirable perception in the eyes of others.

Messed up from both a medieval and modern perspective. Imagine if Robb defied Ned and went to kill all the Manderlys or something.

That’s not what happened at all, why does everyone think that. Tywin sent out ravens demanding people repay the debts they owe to the Lannisters or send hostages. The Tarbeck Lord refused and road to Casterly Rock to protest. The Tarbeck Lord was then arrested. In response the Reynes-Tarbecks took 3 Lannisters hostage and Tytos forgave the debt to protect them. Then years later the Reynes Tarbecks were called to stand trial for the kidnappings. The two houses then rose up in revolt. That is treason and according to Robb Stark is punishable by death. The Tarbeck men were killed in battle. The Tarbecks were offered to surrender by Kevin but refused so their castle was destroyed by siege equipment. Then the Reynes hid down their mines and demanded more Lannister hostages or commit to a lengthy siege so Tywin just flooded the mines and ended it. I don’t know when the Reynes-Tarbecks became the good guys. They were disloyal, double crossing disrespectful cunts who got what was coming.

We shouldn't say for sure that Elissa Farman's three eggs are the same one Dany hatched her dragons out of! It is a coincidence that there were three of them and that they showed up in Essos later, but such a broad correlation clearly does not prove causation. It could just as easily be the case that they are exactly what it said on the tin--ancient fossilized eggs from a previous era, from the Shadow Lands. (We know there must have been dragons in Asshai at some point, from all the fused stone). And there've also been plenty of chances for someone from or close to the Targaryens to take a clutch of eggs with them from Dragonstone to elsewhere. E.g. Daemon Targaryen successfully stole an egg to give to Mysaria, and it seems the only reason he had to give it back was because he announced publicly that he was giving the egg as a gift (probably to get his brother's attention with an open act of defiance) rather than doing it in secret.

@@fantasyhaven1 I think it depends on who he inflicts it on. He must have enjoyed culling the Castameres from the earth, because the conflict between them was personal. Does he have the same enjoyment from killing random farmers in the riverlands? No. I don't think he has any feelings on the matter at all, no guilt or pleasure. He does what he does to the riverlanders because he believes it will help his war effort, not because he enjoys it. Joffrey or Ramsay, on the other hand, are proper sadists who enjoy inflicting pain and suffering on ANYONE regardless of who they are. No one is safe from them. The smallest excuse can cause them to turn on you. The differense between the sadist and callous traits in my mind is this: sadists enjoy hurting people and will hurt others simply because they like it. Callous people feel no guilt for causing pain and suffering, but won't go out off their way to hurt others unless it benefits them in some way. If you were to ask Tywin why he does the things he does he will always have a rational reason for doing it, callous and cruel as it might be. If you were to ask Joffrey the same question he would probably just say "because I like it, fuck you!"

I think another way to look at it is this: Tywin never personally participates in the brutalities that he orders, he sends men like the mountain or Amory Lorch to do the dirty work. He never cared to see or do the deeds himself. A proper sadist would probably want to be there to see it and feel it, but Tywin rarely is.

I disagree with Tywin having the sadistic trait. He is very much and ends justify the means kind of guy. He gave house Reyne every chance to pay back their debts and they chose to not and rebelled because they didn't want to pay back money lent to them. Wiping out the Reynes put every other lord under Tywins charge in check so that pretty much justified all of that. The Red Wedding honestly saved far more lives than it took, sure it was a dick move but that's war.

In this play through I couldn’t help myself, I was betrothed to a Tyrell for like 10 years and ended up having a kid with a younger sister of Joanna then had a kid or 2 with Joanna as well. Almost eloped with Joanna but needless to say Tywin wasn’t very happy. I feel like this character is a total Robert Baratheon bedding women though because I couldn’t help myself years later when Aerys’ heir was a daughter and had kids with her, by this time I think my Tyrell wife was used to it because she stopped confronting me so much about it lol but anyway I was able to betrothe a true born child to my Targaryen lover’s heir with their kids joining my dynasty. Idk if it was because I was just getting it good and she was just too content to disagree or maybe that lunatic trait made her make a bad decision but needless to say this is the first generation of this play through, by the third generation of my dynasty I’ll have a family member on the iron throne. I believe I also ironically had a daughter pull off a matrilineal dynasty marriage with the heir to the Yronwood as well and crazily enough the Martells were overthrown by them so my dynasty will also be Prince and Princesses of Dorne by our third generation as well. So crazy. As for me, right out of the gates I was offered a claim on the disputed lands ruled by Maelys Blackfyre. My betrothal with the Tyrells gave me the ability to lean heavy on their strength to take it which granted me a paramount title. From there I expanded into Myr and took up to the duchys north of the city of Myr which I intend to be my capital until I take the iron throne or a castle I prefer in Westeros. I figure I’ll need to unite the remainder of Myr and the remainders of Lys and Tyrosh. Maybe the stepstones also before taking on Pentos. At that point I intend to fight independence from the Iron Throne. From there I would like to move on the Iron Islands (or Dorne if somehow my family gets removed before getting enough heirs or something). I started at the Last Light and hold the isle of saltcliffe already just waiting with a son holding both. Eventually the iron islands will all be ruled by my dynasty and closest allies before we invade the Westerlands beginning the conquest of Westeros. Idk what I’ll do when it comes down to falling against my own dynasty in Dorne and the Iron Throne but I will enjoy the RP I imagine as I play lol.
