Hi, it is very effective, as I had pain on my back and I had ankle twist on fist day and I am gasping within 10 min of playing on my first day, but after stretching per your instruction, 100% pain-free (back) and no gasping at all and my performance had increased x5 than 1st day and I concentrated more on the game than my gasping, pain etc., my sincere thanks to you bro...

I think static stretchingnis more for the cool down. Dynamic is before the game. I usually start with joints rotation followed by a pulse raiser like light jog then do the dynamic stretchings. I do the static after the game.

THIS VIDEO IS IMPORTANT About a month ago, I twisted my knee at a tournament and got an injury: At the tourney I was really planning ahead my games to make sure when I'm gonna warm up, and be ready. I even talked to the tournament director to confirm and everything. It turns out that the match before mine was cancelled, so my game was pushed up suddenly. I was rushing my warm up so much. Obviously I didn't do a proper warm up and I went into the game with a rushed mentality. I played at 100% from the start, did poor footwork and BAM! Got the injury... Thank you Coach Chandra for making this video :)

Great points Kowi. In Canada where I am from, I have moved towards more dynamic stretching before game/lessons, and leaving the static stretches post-game/lessons. Nice angles on the videos to show clarity - keep the vids coming :).

As far as injury prevention is concerned, dynamic before and static after is objectively better (statistically results in less injury).

Great video as always. However I think that static stretching should never be done before exercise since it reduces some of the elasticity of the muscles and can impact your performance for the worse. Dynamic stretching however is great before exercise for warming up.

Nice video. However, dynamic warm-ups are more appropriate before the game; static stretches are more appropriate after the game.

I suggest to not to static stretches as part of your warm up. All the mobility/loosening is fine, but it's not a warm up, it's just part of it. What do you guys think of my warm up routine? kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKfSg6KmgtSnldU

I don't think it's correct or proper to do so many static stretches before getting your muscle temperature up first. Best to start with some light dynamic stretches to get the joints moving followed by jogs or exercises to get the muscles warm. Static stretches should come last. An experienced coach should know better.

YOU CANT DO CLOCKWISE with your HEAD!!! This is very dangerous for your neck spine!!! The only exercise like this you can do it's when you put head backward or forward and move it right/left. BUT NEVER CLOCKWISE !!! _____ AND MORE - YOU CANT START WARM UP WITH STRETCHING... What are you even shoving man? Do you really want that people get bad injurys because of you? FIRST YOU WARM UP and AFTER YOU STRETCH !
