FAQ: How to get the water out of a rotary trumpet!

The question I am most frequently asked by trumpeters is: “How do I get the water out of the rotary trumpet?”

how demonstrate blowing through the valves, you will not get the water off from the third valve. The gravity is a gainst you. You can lift up the trumpet slightly over your head, then blow through all valves, continue like described. Some trumpets have a water key at the third valve, other pull off the bow.

Third valve on a rotary doesn't get much unlike on a piston, where the leadpipe enters on it, vs 1st on standard rotaries.
