I've never paid any attention to this before but now you've explained this clearly and succinctly - I will add this to my personal sim SOP from now on. Thank you !

The vertical profile layovers finally did much of the explaining for why one offers preferrentially less noise close to airport (NADP1) and other far out (NADP2). Have been trying to find an explanation and finally your video did it. Much thanks... In NADP 2 we compromise an expeditious climb to accelerate simultaneously (engine thrust shared between two actions), but reach clean climb speed earlier and then can resume a quicker climb thereafter. In NADP1 climbing quickly away from airport preferred and thus we intentionaly delay acceleration.

Some airlines also change the altitude values depending on airframe. For example, at SWISS, NADP1 is simply 1500/3000 for the entire fleet. For NADP2 however, its 1500/1500 for the B77W, while its 800/800 for the rest of the fleet.
@Blackbox7113 жыл бұрын
Yep. Thing is that the NADPs are mostly “recommended”.
@Benjemen853 жыл бұрын
I believe it's even more complicated then that. I believe the A320 uses 800/3000 for NADP 1 while we on the A220 use 1500/3000 for NADP1 and we also use 1500/1500 for NADP2. Why there are differences on certain airframes I don't know, but I always thought it was interesting.

Another great vid mate! One thing to add type 1 uses about 20-40 of fuel more than type 1. 20Kg x 200 departures a day is $4000 a day or $1.3 million a year...hence many companies opt for type 2 as standard..

Hi. Thank you very much for your comment and the numbers. I searched for some hard data on the amount of savings but couldn't find any. The savings then are greater than I expected.

Can you make a video for Derated TO thrust in Airbus please? I am not sure if it is an option and if the A320 family has it. But i saw in an A330 flightdeck that D-TO was in use. Also what differences there are compared to Boeing. Also it would be nice to show the difference between TO-1/TO-2 and R-TO (Reduced Take off thrust). The thrust mode R-TO appears on the Upper Eicas. Does every 737NG has the R-TO mode? Also please make videos about Take off Bump and Cutback. Ryanair for example doesnt have Take off Bump if i am not wrong. Cutback is usefull for the Noiseabatement proc but how to use it? Also when do you use CLB/CLB1/CLB2? I red that when you climb with CLB-1 thrust, at 15000ft MSL it switches automatically to CLB mode. Thanks

Can you show us an example of each flow by you? Especially the needed settings in the MCDU? On which chart we find the information which NADP has to be flown at this airport?
@gevinhu3 жыл бұрын
For NADP you have to set TO PERF page THR RED/ACC altitude (A320). For example if your airport elevation is 500 feet, for NADP1 you enter 1500/3500 or NADP2 you will enter 1500/1500. Usually there is a special chapter for airports published together with charts, which is called AOI: aerodrome operating information, there is a departure section in it which lets you know which NADP is used for departure. For example in real life you can choose between NADP 1 and 2 in Italy.

@@gevinhu I think the alts are AGL so it's always the same. At least in the toliss it's all AGL.

How does this relate to TKOF PROC A and PROC B noise abatement procedures that are sometimes referenced in charts? (I'm looking at LSGG for instance)

Why is the NADP 1 graph is so steeper in the beginning phase compared to NADP2 ? With configuration on during initially climb phase , I thought it would deteriorate ur climb performance ?
@Blackbox7114 ай бұрын
NADP1 means that you climb longer at V2 (+15) until 3000 ft AGL and the thrust reduction is done a little later at 1500 ft AGL instead of 1000/1000 ft. So NADP1 is made for obstacles close to the departure airport as an example.

hello, cap! is that accurate comparing with real mcdu that on the fslabs when i copy secondary f-pln from the active above the 10000 feet secondary f-pln follows the active like it is removing passed waypoints by itself from the sec f-pln same as active f-pln and it's no need to be copied from active after every waypoint?

Bonjour BB711, I have a "off-topic" question for you : Do you have some experience concerning ProSim-AR softwares, mainly A320 wise? I'm considering to buy a single seater A320 home-cockpit from Vier Im Pott or their polish concurrent Plodragonet, the hardware seems to be quite serious for both of them, but the software from ProSim-AR is not well documented even on their own site, videos from youtube shows some situations with PFD and ND, but nothing to give a clear view about the deepness of their simulation, are they simulating a specific FWC/SDAC?

Love your videos and streams, when you enter a route, a sid on the airbus fmc does it already load the noise abatement procedure or are noise abatement procedures already factored in airports sid´s?
@maestro73323 жыл бұрын
Nadp procedures are manually entered in takeoff PERF page, i believe it's lower left corner of the aforementioned page. Values shown are above mean see level. Some SID procedures also contain noise abatement routing. I believe LOWW rwy 29 has them.

Hey, I wanted to let you know that your airport information page for EDDH still shows NADP2 whereas AIP recommends NADP1. Just in case you'd like to update it. Thanks for your content!
@ska0423 жыл бұрын
The departure briefing documents for EDDH also specifically say NADP1 is recommended.
