I am very glad to see how professional this channel is and the editing of the videos has become. You have helped me a lot to prepare for the selection process for the airline I am currently at and to constantly review the procedures like this one. Thank you very much, Gabrielle.

Hello Gabriele, Regarding the Noise Abatement Procedure: How do you use the CUTBACK function in the FMC in a 737NG? I know that there is an altitude where the thrust is cut back and a restore altitude. But how do you use that for an airport specifically? I mean how do you read in a chart when to apply the cutback and how do you read in a chart at which altitude you have to restore the N1 setting for climb? Thank you.
@PILOTCLIMB Жыл бұрын
These values are standard heights above the field, so you simply add it to the field elevation..

Thanks Gabrielle, i have a questiom , i think innLEBL the thrust reductiion is at 800ft, why?
@PILOTCLIMB Жыл бұрын
The minimum height for Thrust reduction is 800feet, however we commonly use 1000'.

Great video, thanks!!! But what happens when charts don’t mention any NADP? Or it's something like this: JET ACFT certified to standards of ICAO convention Volume 1, Part 2, Chapter 3, with noise level certified at overflight point of less than 89 EPNdB. Btw, I never understood why this important information is not written on the SID charts themselves (Jeppesen or LIDO)
@PILOTCLIMB Жыл бұрын
Most probably it is not written on the chart because you want to keep the SID chart as clean as possible. It might change depending on the operator, usually of no restrictions are applicable we use the NADP 2.

You should do a video showing how it is done in the A320 vs the B737 using the FMC /MCDU

I only found NADP A or B and NADP 1 or 2, where does this ICAO A or B popped out from? Haha
@AviationAllDay Жыл бұрын
Hello my question is ICAO A and ICAO B no longer available in ICAO Doc 8168 so the pilots not using it anymore ?
