I really appreciate the uploads! Due to my busy schedule I've been unable to watch most of your streams but these videos are a very compact and well-done compromise to the full streams. Thanks again for sharing so much valuable knowledge BB. Keep the blue side up! :-)

Really great tutoring videos, all of them👍 ...they help me returning back to flightsim world after 10 years of absence 🙂 And I especially like this video, as I have started my real life ATC career 25 years ago as a twr controller in LJLJ. And there is an “interesting 😬”story from my first year as a fresh controller that involves circling procedure... I have been controlling only VFR traffic for rwy 13 all afternoon (25 years ago runways were 13 and 31)...and finally on the ILS there arrives Austrian Foker from Vienna. On outer marker I cleared Austrian to land .... well I had in mind rwy 31, but very likely I have mistakenly said rwy 13. There was no wind and no reason for circling approach, but nevertheless pilot didn’t question or at least tried to confirm my sudden decision for opposite runway but just acknowledged landing clearance... You can imagine my shock when a minute later I realized that Austrian is on downwind leg instead on the runway 😬. Luckily I haven’t had any VFR traffic on that downwind and everything turned out ok... Well those two guys in Austrian really didn’t have more than 20 seconds to revert to circling procedure...I hope they weren’t as shocked as I was moments later 🙂

@@foxromeo71 I used to fly fs2004 longtime ago it was good... Now on the p3d and all the add-ons I have all installed , I haven't been that successful to finally fly , I get uninterested in the complicated settings .. wish I could manage this setup or get some help , my soon OPC would definitely be easier .. When sequenced properly the VDEV is very helpful for maintaining the rate of descent.

Interesting location, great looking scenery but those runway textures need a little love! Love circling in the 'Bus!

Hi. The location was more important than the runway textures.

It was probably Orbx’s LBLJ anyways. They gave it away as freeware. Can’t really complain much when developers don’t ask for much.

Could you show how to fly the terrain escape manouver in the a320 family. I think the fs labs 320 has a more enhanced terrain rader then the ff.

Hi, I was hoping you could help me understanding this. I'd like to know the timing to initiate a turn. Example, I'm following a VOR course 354° for a visual approach at LFMN and I need to turn right onto the runway 04L in LFMN with an inbound course 43°. I can determine the bank angle and time necessary for the turn but how woulld I know when to initiate the turn? I do not need to make a complete turn so unsure about the formula you give.

Your content is excellent. It's great to see you share your passion! I currently operate the 320/319 for a US carrier. Due to the pandemic, like most of us, I've not been flying much. I wanted to make the most out of flight sim to maintain some proficiency. I currently run FSX with the FSL 320 but the sim obviously has limitations. Would you recommend P3D and the FSL 320 or Xplane with the Toliss? I understand that FSL probably has the superior aircraft but, in your opinion, is it worth the additional cost? Also, it appears that Xplane may be a bit easier to get setup compared to p3d.
@stabilo3170

In my opinion go straight to FSL A320, disregard cost difference, if you wish quality, don't hesitate.
@Blackbox711
@Blackbox711 3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Since you are rated on the A320 you probably also want to practice abnormals. And this is where the Toliss has its limitation because the system simulation and especially the ECAM checklists are not modeled properly. The FSLabs on the other hand does have a very good abnormal system simulation. I personally use it to practice for my biannual Checkrides.

In my own experience, I think P3D with FSLabs A320X or X-Plane 11 with ToLiss A321-19 or alternatively FFA320U

You have to rejoin the original missed approach. That is clearly laid out on the approach chart.

Sometimes you want to line up to the localizer but descent with an angle that you want. Like for example in the old circling approach to Innsbruck
