No eye injuries, it's both eyes. Started in my mid twenties. Also blurry and cloudy vision randomly when my eyes start acting up.. lasts all day, but the pain, for the most part, goes away a couple hours after waking up. Can't get to work on time sometimes because i literally can't keep my eyes open. I don't know what it is, but it's surely has changed my life. 💜 good luck for anyone else searching for answers 💚

I have this from an injury.. I get it in both eyes and It's a struggle. You wake up ready to attack the day and it's terrible pain that takes 10 minutes to fully recover and wget out of bed.. this doesn't happy every morning but definitely the majority..

Thats not good to hear. Have you been back to your treating specialist to examine the cause of your specific pain? A physical examination with a detailed medical history is a must in order to get to the bottom of your issue. Let me know how you went.

@@DrAnthonyMaloof Yes was prescribed with hycosan blue which is used during the day every couple of hours and hycosan night before I go to sleep. Sometimes I dip my eyes with cold water several times before I go to sleep.

@@HaisonthewayV2 If none of these are working then you may have to look at a surgical solution. An option is described at the end of the video. As always, this will require an examination and consultation to see what is the most appropriate path for you and your condition.

Sorry for the delay. The procedure itself is not painful but there is some pain in the subsequent days. You will normally be given some prescriptions to help with the discomfort. A warm compress wont cause any damage, so it depends on if it gives you any relief or not.

I had lasik eye surgery four years ago. I never had dry eye before and developed dry eye afterwards. One day my left eye went black for 20-30 sec and I got scared and saw my optometrist who looked behind my eyes and saw nothing also confirmed it wasn’t an eye stroke. I still had a healthy eye and 20/20 vision. Today I wake up and have a sharp stabbing pain in the same eye. I put warm compress, took fish oil supplements, eye drops, and castor oil and it has been shooting the pain on and off all day. Please do you have any suggestions? Do you think it’s more than dry eye🙏

Sudden sharp pain on waking is typical of recurrent erosion and that can happen infrequently after uncomplicated laser vision correction.

@@DrAnthonyMaloof my doctor prescribed me erythromycin. Do you think that should help?

It is important to follow the direction from your doctor. There will be a reason for prescribing you an antibiotic. Let us know how you go following this.

Hey Doc, so I scratched my cornea about 15 months ago by taking a tennis ball to the eye. I went to A&E and was given anti-biotic eyedrops but ever since one or twice a month I get the same feeling in my as I did when I scratched my cornea usually when waking up in the morning and my eye gets very teary as well what would you suggest to do?

Definitely book in to your local optometrist for a check up. They can do some testing to see if you still have some scarring. Would love to know how you go.

Hello doctor. I have hit my eyes 3 yrs back in the iron table corner and skin got peeled in my cornea. It was healed in a month but then after a year I came across the prob as you mentioned when we wake up in the mrng the eyes sticks and the epithelial membrane peels off. The erosion happens and it's been 2 yrs since in am suffering. Doctor put me twice bandage lens. But then once they remove the erosion happens again. Just going on with the antibiotics and lubrications Gels and drops. Still suffering. I really wanted to fix my eye. Too painful and afraid to sleep as you said. :(

Does corneal erosion cause dry eyes? Does the dryness heal with time?

Yes it can feel like dry eye. If it persists you might need treatment.

Hello doctor , whenever i go to sleep my eyes feel heavy when I lay my head on the pillow. and when i wake up, i wake up with swollen upper eyelid( the area below the eyebrow) and it hurts. dkw

I poked my eye by accident a few weeks ago, got drops and antibiotic oinment, felt better after 1 or 2 weeks. And suddenly im waking up everyday with that eye shut tight with crusts sometimes, and alot of pain. So now I find this video and I feel so devasted. Will I ever get better? Can i ever wear mascara ever again? 😢

Hello, Possibly, but you will likely need treatment like corneal burring.
