Yeah I agree, but I think the missions were better in FC5. FC3, is my favorite, but after repalying them all, all the missions feel like a bunch of quicktime events and there's a lot of moments where you're just walking around all drugged out without a gun. Exploring the open world in FC3 was way more fun then the main story quest line.

That might be the case. But the reason it appears this way in Far Cry 3 is not because of realism. It's because the FOV in that game is broken. There's other anomalies like when holding a flaming arrow in your bow, the flame effect is off center from the tip of the arrow.

Whoops forgot, FC3's Cons are well you can't use a sidearm inside a vehicle, it's not running great on PC, Pros are its story is probably the best in the series, it has a good sum of content, Jason is also a good protagonist. FC4's Pros are that its story which is great and pagan is a great villain but not as Good compared to Vaas. Ajay is alright but he has nothing on Jason. The Final Pro is that you can use side arms in the car. Cons are its practically the exact same gameplay as Far Cry 3 only differences is how Ajay runs and how he can fly a mini chopper. FC5, this is my favourite Far Cry game so ill try to be unbiased here, It has a great story with the antagonist Joseph seed being on par with Pagan Min, the gameplay is also good and is a bit different and the customization is the best in the series. Cons are, Rook well he is customizable but he is mute, the explosion effect isn't as good as 3, the endings, you actually cannot win

Im very sure the cell shaded look isn't intentional, it's due to the game's really aggressive AO. Its very noticeable if you enable SSAO or HBAO and much less noticeable if you use HDAO but sometimes the look is still there with it.

I am a little put out. When I saw the word comparison I was hoping for a full comparison, not just focused on the graphics. I agree that what you said would make Far Cry 5 a better game, but that is not the only factor put in to making a game, there is story, characters, if the world feels alive since this is an open world sandbox. alot of people forgot about the original far cry :P but in far cry 3 what i liked most was exploring and the ship wrecks one thing i had love with in the original far cry is the enivorment setting with those old ww2 bunkers and wrecks wich came back with far cry 3 in far cry 5 when exploring it feels more empty in the enivorment idea there are more events but not really much fun in the exploring luckly they brought a bit back of the fun of exploring in new dawn forests are fun to explore but not in far cry 5 and every spot has enemys a bit to much of my taste you clear them out and 2 mins later same situations respawned also the main vilian in far cry 3 was just the best i do feel like they trying to bring someone like vaas back in far cry 5 (talking about john) but they failed at it there is also a point of it in game where you find the exact same torturing as in far cry 3 it could have been a copy and paste or maybe a easter egg.

if someone ask me which game is my favourite.. then my answer will be name of the game which i love to play and not which one looks better... Far Cry 3 have everything... great story, good graphic, perfect gameplay, Jason Brody who can talk :D and nice map..... Far Cry 5 have bad graphic because its looking good bud its worse for your eyes, if you are playing you always see the darkest and brightnes point at same time on screen (that contrast is destroying your eyes) more options, dead end story, more cars and FISHING!!!. Far Cry 3 is winner for me... fck graphics i love story... dont you ever wanted to play something what you was played few years back, if you wanted then you know what im talking about... about good games... i will bet with you that after few years later nobody will talking about fc5 like talking about fc3 right now... peace :P

*6* *Year* *Old* *Game* More detailed and aesthetically pleasing visuals that hold up today and add to the story since your character is on many psychedelics which are known to distort perception of color if in your system. Like it had such a good sense of purpose for an action game and is seriously still one of the best open world formulas used by decent games like Horizon zero dawn to this day. Like seriously it's the CoD: 4 or MW2 of open world games, fast and fun with a formula used by everyone but with a story that makes some kind of sense unlike the modern day reskins. Watch Far Cry 6 have celebrity cameos, thats when you know it is headed the cod way and I was right lmao. *2* *MONTH* *OLD* *GAME* Almost identical graphics which only have improved lighting and identical enemy movement and type as FC3, seriously watch combat in the game side by side: The drugged out angels are literally reskinned versions of the acid trip enemies from the past games and the light, normal, heavy, and elite enemies have the exact same movement as FC3 and especially FC4 with literally more simplistic and generic acting and look enemies that have shit AI. The game was fun but not in one single original or better way, the only truly amazing thing was the flying but when you look at other aaa games such as just cause 3 or bf1 it looks fucking pathetic and it's genuinely sad because Far Cry used to be one of the few good Ubisoft titles but naw now they are the absolute worst. This is not true. The main character that you play as in far cry 3 was forgettable and annoying with laughable results when killing someone. Most forgettable character ever. Second Vaas, though I liked him because we really have never seen character so crazy and different before in a game does not mean he is the best character to this day. We barely got a backstory and to really connect with him. Really the problem I see with this whole thing is that people trash far cry 5 for far cry 3 just because it’s far cry 3. Same issue is with treyarch zombies and infinity ward zombies. Far cry 5 has a better villain and actually giving back story. I cringed and felt uneasy when he told the story of him killing his child. That’s character progression and who you’re dealing with. Compared to vaas... what? A couple laughs at his craziness. That’s not back story. Far cry 5 advanced on what made far cry 3 great. How can we not cherish the idea that it advanced on its core gameplay. Don’t get me wrong it does things wrong, but both games are excellent. Just far cry 5 does things better. And a lot of the issues people are talking about in far cry 5 is the same thing that happens to all far cry’s. The eventually get boring hence. Then you go back and play it again and enjoy.

Yes it is the best. I installed it to my laptop to test it, sadly I played on low settings it still lagged but still I had fun. The setting, the intro, weapons, location, sounds. I loved it, they did a great job.
