The best part about this cutscene was at the end when Diego offers her the box of Viviro and the reporter, knowing full well it is obtained through unethical means, took it immediately and without hesitation. Thus proving Anton's point that noone will care where it comes from, just what it can do.

I feel like both Castillo and the reporter were correct here. Castillo is right about how America benefited off of slavery for years and yes people all over the world are willing to reap the benefits produced by those in sweatshops and factories if it helps them. At the same time the reporter does sort of back him into a corner and gets him to a point where he has to admit he’s doing terrible things and that he and his country will make use of the rewards just like he was accusing and blaming other counties for doing. The problem with Castillo’s logic is that if I was a racist dictator who wanted to get rid of “undesirables” in my impoverished 3rd world country and I murdered 12 million of them in a disturbingly industrialized and creepily efficient genocide based purely off of stupid racist ethno-nationalist rhetoric, would it be ok for me to tell the American reporter interviewing me “you see, the Nazis did it and look at Germany today so why can’t I do it?”? Damn, this comment section is literally the meme "We must improve society somewhat" "Yet you participate in it, curious! I am very smart!". The fact that people would take Viviro doesn't make it right to produce it with slave labor. Same as the fact that we use smartphones or other sweatshop produced goods doesn't make us collaborators. If there is no alternative to unethical production, how can you blame people for actually using it? Doesn't mean that world shouldn't strive to be better. Anton's point makes no sense, he has foreign investors and scientists that can make the process of creating Viviro safer without hindering production, but he chooses to use outcasts, because it allows him to get rid of political opponents and insurgents.

The one thing I absolutely hate about the far cry games since 4 is that they place you in scenarios where the best outcome is to not play them. If AJ didn't kill pagan ming and/or turn over kyrat to the golden path, then the country wouldn't have become either a theocracy or a drug state that uses child labor and you or pagan would have ruled the country, with Ajay likely being more even handed then pagan In 5 not playing the game literally prevents the apocalypse and ensures that your character isn't psychologically tortured into becoming a hollowed out manservant And in this game fleeing to America prevents the death of Diego and the obvious devolution of yara into a warzone amongst the factions of revolutionaries who are just as suspect as the golden path in 4 Hell, considering Anton's terminal illness, not playing the game means that Anton dies and Diego, someone shown to be alot more kind and compassionate than his father, takes over and potentially reshapes the island for the better TL/DR: I hate far cry because they make you bring about the worst case scenario
@Spicypuff3 жыл бұрын
Even though Farcry 5 is still my favorite, it has one of the most bullshit endings ever. I don't care if we get closure in new dawn, the way they just slap the player across the face in an effort to prove us wrong is so infuriating and essentially legitimize Joseph's actions. It makes more sense that the cult would detonate the nukes in an effort to prove that they were right but nope. I honestly can't bring myself to finish the game. Once I at a point where I have to face Joseph I just start a new game because I don't want to get a headache. I don't know why they could just have had us take out Joseph and given us a basic ending. Heck I wouldn't mind Rook sacrificing themselves if it meant hope county survive. Either way I'm disappointed.

I mean, with FC4 there is a silver lining. You can kill both Amita and Sabal, and its implied Ajay then become's king himself. Wether he'll be a good king is up to anyone's headcanon. Its arguably the best option. Under Pagan things are pretty terrible and not much changes when Amita takes over (Kyrat will still be a drug state with shady labor), while Sabal installs a theocracy. Then asking why slavery in Yara is wrong when, America and the rest of the world have done it throughout history. And that it’s how everybody gets their clothes and electronics. Too bad he was literally as wrong as could be seeing as its already been long confirmed that US slavery was actually an economic drain on the country rather than a boon. It was only after the Civil War that the US skyrocketed in wealth as a country. As for why Castillo is wrong? Is that a serious question? The point of history is to NOT make the same mistakes as those int eh past; when people did it before they didn't know any better, now we do. And Castillo hides behind history to just do the same thing we shouldn't be repeating, and that makes him a monster to crush, not someone to argue against.
