Critics can be bad a lot of times, mostly they are, I played it when it came out too and loved it. Days gone is also a game that was bashed by critics and now everyone loves it. Its better to trust your own judgement with watching gameplays when the game comes out rather than watching a ign review

i’ve generally found that w most Far Cry games post 3, they’re the same each time pretty much just different settings, villains n weapons but it doesn’t mean they aren’t fun. They’re like the mcdonald’s of video games along with like Call of Duty n shit

FC6 got hate mostly for the setting and the characters I believe. FC1, FC2, FC3, FC4, and FC5 all had an amazing setting but sadly FC6 just did not.

Number 2 was great....not sure how it would hold up now but it's much more brutal. No fast travel except like 4 different points on the map, the map is an actual map you pull up in game, it's not a menu map. U can pull it out while running or driving and look down at it when you need too. Guns are conditioned, poor one's will jam or outright not shoot unless you take care of them. It takes a certain person or mood to enjoy it.

The reason there was so little of the president character is Giancarlo Esposito's fame from Breaking Bad made him much more expensive to use for the game. Too many big budget games spend money on Hollywood actors that do not come cheap. Kojima spent a ton of money on Hollywood people for Death Stranding and Chris Roberts spent a huge chunk of Star Citizen's money on hiring Hollywood voice over actors before there was even an alpha of the game... Need to focus on making good games and worry about actors afterward.

To be fair, most Far Cry villains don't have much screentime. For example, Vaas only had about 10-15 minutes of screentime in Far Cry 3.

I before I watch, I've heard that compared to the other games they made it super easy. The older games made you feel like you started as a nobody and through the experiences you go threw end up as a bad ass but in this one it's just easy from the get go

The random fighting going on in this game, is something Cyberpunk was missing from Night City. Just random bouts of violence and gang attacks, etc.

Just beat the game and there are a few scripted gang attacks on you as well as cops fighting gangs, etc. It does exist it just isn't as much as it could be. Also multiple of the PD missions have people attacking each other etc.

This killed the series for me. As soon as you discover that enemies respawn within a ridiculously short radius and time (like right behind you after you just killed them) you realise it's unplayable. Hundreds of players including myself took to the Unisoft forums to report it, evidence it with videos etc. Unisoft ignored it completely and said the dev team feel the systems in the game are working as intended. Disgusting.

The game is just very safe and plain. Not challenging and barebones sad they didn’t dive deeper into the systems. Also no incentive to innovate since you can one shot enemies and the ai is pretty dumb.

I was listening to this in the background and the entire time I was thinking "Ah yes, his favorite stealth game." Part of me still wants to play this at some point but when it's DEEPLY discounted. Wouldn't be a shock that my favorite Far Cry games are Blood Dragon and New Dawn. I love when games go off the deep end and this one always looked like a bit of that without truly committing. I also understand why so many people don't like that because it's a hard departure from what the games used to be, I just don't have that connection. Blood Dragon was the first Far Cry I ever played so for me, that's what I like.

I was bored so I played this game on Game Pass…it’s fun-ish. If you like shooting and blowing stuff up, but with all Ubisoft games it gets repetitive and boring halfway through and it’s a slog to finish it. I didn’t care about the story or characters but it’s a decent game if you want something to pass the time.

Personally I’d recommend 6 over 5 for a better overall sandbox and weapon feel. Weapons are customizable in an actually impacting way. And the map is a lot more fun to explore than 5. But both a great games. But when I go back to play far cry I play 6.

People moan about far cry because they are mostly similar but if you like far cry it’s what you want and get far cry 3 at some point as well . I understand it but im so sick of hearing the "it doesnt change the formula" argument when it comes to new games in any series. People are coming back because they like the experience not because they want it all to change. Its like wanting Family guy to turn into Curb your Enthusiasm because they are in season 20 I completely get why people will grow tired but the people who werent around for the first few games might absolutely love the new one and the die hard fans who buy all the dlc want it to feel similar to what they are used to. And i am a big Farcry fan despite not beating a game since 4.

Yea Farcry 6 is kind of serviceable,but ever since Farcry 5 the design of the game has made the Farcry series one of Ubisoft's most boring series ever. That being said I will say not to long ago replayed 3 and found myself being very meh feeling about it,but for 5 and new dawn those games were awful in almost every way. Not because,you can't have fun with them...They are just boring. Especially New dawn with how they do enemies and the ending had me rage quit on final bosses as I didn't wanna grind for higher tier weapons after doing basically everything on map.

As a Hispanic American, this was one of the most enjoyable campaigns I’ve ever played. The dialoguing was hilarious to hear. Excellent choice and curse phrases and not to mention, the music while traveling in vehicles is just awesome.

I mean, a lot of it is based in Cuba, but it isn't the only inspiration, and if you play the game its pretty easy to see that the '67 revolution was communist, which let Castillo's government come to power, which is al-right. And let's not forget that a lot of 'communist' countries end up as fascistic in the end, due to corrupt politicians

I REALLY LIKE THIS GAME!!!!! Never understood why it got so much hate, Yara is a great setting, fun to explore and I just love the design simply gorgeous. Then again I ain't a FarCry fan in the slightest but I liked this one for it's setting 😅 i didn't actually finish it as there was other games I wanted to play imma have to pick it up again especially now that it's on GPU.

Couldn't get into it. Or 5. Too political and way too convoluted. 3 was the best, with a straight forward campaign, easy menu, and easy save function. After 3, they just pack too much into them, and too much confusion over which is your next mission in campaign mode. Admittedly they're graphically amazing, but just too much crap to go through just to get the top weapons.

i think its really fun in concept but braindead easy even on hard mode, and its extremely stupid all of the roadmap updates were the 3 DLC and LIMITED TIME EVENTS. i love the supremos and armor abilities, and the pets arent that bad, but the AI is dumb and you're such a tank. i think the pagan and the vaas dlc kinda ruined the characters and story of the games, except the 5 one which actually expanded on its idea instead of like pagans where it all built up to "ermmm yeah i caused far cry 5s plot, all of those hints and mysteries actually IN THE RELATED GAMES, they dont matter at all cause in the more popular game we made it all just random bullshit forcing a connection in the franchise", and vaases just made vaas a creepy sex addict, it barely shows citra manipulating vaas, just cucking him and then it ALSO undid any fun you had in far cry 3. meanwhile the fathers dlc, really good, used real information from farcry 5 and built upon that, and made me cry without RUINING OTHER GAMES STORY LINES.
