Not sure if anyone else saw it, but somebody actually cross referenced the Arkham Knight credits with the S. Squad credits, and discovered that ZERO of the developers from the Arkham series was involved with S. Squad. Make no mistake, people, this is not the same development team. The only thing they have in common is the Rocksteady name, which is a studio that will be dead within 2 years.

I looked into it myself, and saw that some departments have some crossover, but who knows if they stayed until the end. We know the heads of Rocksteady left, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to believe that a lot of the team would follow.

Incorrect. Quin is a threat when she is serious as shown in joker's stories, animated series and when the joker dies and she's no longer bound by humor but continue. Steam reserves the right to call reviews "spam" or "off topic" and even "abuse" and delete them. Now combine that with an extremely loose definition of "spam" and you can get the same results.

Anyone notice how the game keeps referring to things from the Arkham games that no one could possibly know? Batman never said Harley wasn't too bright, he THOUGHT it. When Harley talked about Batman causing mental and emotional damage to everyone he knew, she was talking about the bat family, as shown in Arkham Knight when he pushes them away and they all worry about him. Thing is, there's no way Harley could know any of that was going on but the game acts like it's common knowledge. There's probably a million examples of this but those two stuck out to me.

Out of the 13 writers for the game (which is already way too much, I mean seriously, 13 writers?), Sweet Baby Inc had another 14. And that's not counting the "assistance" of many others studios / companies. Like, imagine 27 people writing a script together, and it gives this.

Best written stories are generally made by a single person, cause like any art, you need to stay coherent and need to convey something precise. There was a negative review at the top with alot of likes and awards that said there was over 7000 reviews after launch. But only 1700 were left a short time later. Then I checked the Steam page the next day and that negative review was missing. Yeah, they're desperately trying to control public opinion and gaslight us. I mean it’s to be expected. Most game devs are younger people in liberal states and cities. It’s pretty normal most of the studios based in such areas think their politics are normal. Other studios like from Japan, Poland, etc. don’t push those type of politics because they don’t have them. @detective2221 early 3d fighting game, that also doubles as a dungeon crawler with a souls-like feature of having to collect your shit when you die. Except it's not just money but literally everything you had on you, your second character has to retrieve on top of carrying their own gear to get to where you died, and if they die too you gotta restart from save. All within randomly generated levels so no two games have the same layout. Also includes mini games like races and other shit. Oh yeah and on top of having an original roster, you can unlock FF7 characters like Cloud, Tifa, Yuffie, Vincent, Sephiroth, and even Zack. Don't know why theyre in the game but it's fun seeing them in a fighting game. They get interesting alternative outfits too like Vincent in his Turk suit or shirtless Sephiroth, Red Cloud. They also get cool movesets like Cloud/Sephiroth swordplay that includes an op Meteorain move. It's definitely not a mechanical masterpiece of its time because again, its an early 3d fighting game, but it's certifiably a hidden gem of the past.

It was a new feature of Unreal Engine 4 and you got Snoy games like God of Woke using it too fuelling the trend, just like how so many games looked like bloomy brown low res puke during the PS3 period. Overwatch 1 actually looked quite nice on release. Atleast you could say that it felt like it had an artistic and consistent theme throughout its characters and maps. The problem is when everything becomes a jumbled mess with no cohesion. Something like modern day cod with no artistic direction when it comes to multiplayer and their operators. He then told me that I was 'missing out' and the game was actually really fun. I already know it's live service and battle pass shit and I watched the full story and vehemently disagreed. King Shark should have unique combat like ripping enemies limb by limb and biting them instead of using guns. Why have King Shark just use guns though he's a large fucking shark with large teeth. They didn't think to use anything with that?

Because this game was likely a looter shooter with paid lootboxes, and they couldn’t think of a way to incorporate equipment into that (I guess grills and brass knuckles?). Or because guns they already have a gun system (Deadshot would require it), and copy/pasted that to all the other characters. Even though King Shark and Harley Quinn should be melee characters, and Boomer should be using boomerangs. That and it would probably mean finding a way to make the ranged characters not overpowered. Because if you have melee-focused characters (with one or two ranged moves), and have melee characters for them to fight… how will they fare with ranged enemies? And how do you make it so the ranged fighters aren’t defacto superior? And with 4 characters in a 4-player game where there’s no duplicates, 2 of those players would feel shafted. Now, it’s not impossible to find ways around this, but it would take work. And either the team or the higher ups just said “screw it” and gave everyone guns. Because it’s an easier solution. It seems like, instead of a game idea that evolved over time out of interest, the idea was set from the getgo (we/you’re making a looter shooter with DC characters/SS) and they just half-a$$ed how to make any of it work or be authentic. There was no “here’s how we justify how/why this works” but “we NEED this to happen, and the reason is an afterthought”.

This story is really something else. I've heard of Anti Heroes making truce with Heroes to defeat a greater evil before, but I've never heard of smaller evil fighting greater evil and killing the Heroes by letting them get corrupted by the greater evil. I don't think I've seen a dumber way of resolving a plot than this. Worst of all, I don't think a lot of people play DC games because they love the VILLAINS so much, so it's beyond insane to me that they'd write a story about murdering the Heroes and doing them dirty.

whats worse is that we're literally getting media focusing on villains. Insomniac's very next game after SM2 is Venom, you know the villain from the previous game that has 2 films with a third coming, they tried giving a very minor SM villain a movie who was gonna be played by a celeb, they have morbius and a kraven movie coming out who was also the villain in SM2

The best part of the game is the terrible UI It looks comedically bad, they knew the game would flop so they did the “if elden ring was made in the west” UI meme

I saw a tweet where a woman complained she couldn’t just say something technical about the game she worked on without people responding negatively. What was her role? She was the UI director or some nonsense. Yeah, no duh people are gonna respond negatively even if it was just some technical post. Your work is horrid.

The ONE tiny highlight for me in this game is King Shark (not playing, watching gameplay of this game): - Controls like Alex Mercer/Hulk (Nostalgia) - Voiced by Samoa Joe - The only actually semi-funny character (kind of love characters that take most things literally like Leslie Nelson's character in Airplane or Drax) - Basically Drax - Has the best fit out of the four, at least the one you had him in most the stream - John Stewart's death being trash and Green Lantern lore being ignored aside, for a PURELY _turn my brain completely off_ moment... The Megalodon construct was awesome - The only one that actually tries to honor every hero's death - He's a goddamn Shark!

In the episode Harley's Holiday you can see who Harley truly is: a good person with a mental problem and a bad influence on her (Joker). When she snaps and was one step away to lose her second chance, Batman was there for her because he knew how hard it is live with traumas. When she finally gives him that kiss I couldn't stop thinking how much potential was wasted on her and her relationship with Batman. Instead, they turned her in a pervert and psychopath lesbian feminist who insults the people who cared for her.

Yeah. But they want to flip it on it's head and act like Batman is the bad influence and the abusive partners and criminal activity is the good influence. Everyone is trying to push this narrative now that Batman is bad for beating up poor people when truth is he's preserving lives and probably giving them a better second chance then what they'd get in their normal course through the criminal justice league and society in general. He's trying to make law and order WORK again.

Yeah, I think the newest Triple-A game I actually consider great is Arkham Knight, and it's almost 9 years old at this point.

@@Nov-5062 2015 was the last time AAA games were actually good. This must of been right when ESG started taking off. I recently played Kingdom Come Deliverance, which is more so a AA title than a proper AAA game. My library mostly consists of games from the 1990’s to around 2012. The quality of AAA starts to take a massive dive after that.
