The details in 4 are incredible, another reason why it’s my overall favourite, Primal is about the same really. I will say 2 and 6 is second when it comes to details, 5 didn’t do much with impact decals.

Tbh i think far cry 3 is terrible compared to 4. Far cry 3 was amazing when it came out. But playing it now a days... its really not good. The world is just a flat island, pretty to look at but not that great for gameplay. And there isnt much diversity in what you do for missions.

Far cry 4 was and still is my favorite far cry game. On 360 the graphics were pretty good but on next gen... oh my God it looks so good. It uses a blue light system that makes the game look fresh and vibrant. It makes the snowy Himalayas actually look cold and the air looks clean. Apart from that, the story is awesome, the combat is great, plenty of animals and guns. I just wish they had NG+ and more random occurances and side missions like 5.

Far cry 6 on max setting on 4k monitor wit ray tracing is awsome. Graphic is great. I play fc6 on max now on rtx3080 and it looks much better than fc4. So on this video it looks like the fc6 settings are not maxed or its made ti looks bad from dryver setings, or fc4 have some new high quality mode. I not say that is true but i just say, because i have fc4 to and looks much worst than fc6 on my pc.

I get the fire death thing being different cause Farcry 6 enemies have "health bars" and won't die instantly from having a moly thrown on them but still 4 was more the satisfying thing

Every NPC in most video games have number of health, except in FC6, it has health bar to show the amount of health the NPC have. The fire damage reduces the NPC health before starting an animation instead of triggering an animation and kill them immediately. That's why it takes time for a fire to kill an NPC

Far Cry 4 is easily the most underappreciated title in the franchise. 2 is my favorite overall and i hate how they turned the franchise into a generic cookie cutter power fantasy open world with 3, but 4 is the one to do it the best. It improves on everything from 3, actually gives the main antagonist screen time, has stunning visuals and an amazing soundtrack & world.

This trend is carried over through all game developers. It's really unfortunate. Everything seems so rushed and slapped together. I think that a big reason its happening is because everything is going virtual. Before when games were physical. The developers had to make 100% sure the game was perfect because they had to print the copies and put them on shelves. It was a much bigger risk to have flaws or bugs or bad graphics in a game because taking a game off shelves costs a fortune. Taking a game off of a virtual market place cost nothing but sales.

Far Cry 4 was a great game. I hear so many people talk bad about Far Cry 4 but it was honestly a good game. I love Ubisoft games, whether they downgrade or not. They usually add additional features to make up for some of the downgrades. I'm a single player gamer and Ubisoft always delivers a solid and fun single player experience. The Far Cry series is my all time favorite series from Ubisoft, except for the Splinter Cell series. When the first Far Cry came out I went to Rhino Video Games, which they got taken over by GameStop, and traded some really rare SNES games to get enough credit to buy it. So yeah, I'm a big fan of Ubisoft, but I do regret getting rid of those games. Earthbound, Final Fantasy 2 & 3, Secret of Mana just to name a few. That was a big mistake but I'm working on getting them back.

@david hacckerman i have beaten every far cry since far cry 2, and 6 has the best graphics hands down. If you didnt notice, this video doesnt do correct comparisons in many scenes. Maybe if you actually played through the game you would have noticed that hes intentionally doing things to make far cry 6 look bad, because thats how views works on youtube. For example, when shooting the fish, he chose not to shoot at a comparable fish from fc6, when you can, in fact, shoot fish in fc6. Another example, he uses the robocop dlc pistol in fc4 and compares it against a normal pistol. Unfair comparison weapons. Next, he didnt show how there is more destruction physics in fc6. I could go on but internet people are dumb and i dont care

That fish part pissed me off and discredited the rest of the video for me. Hell, if anyone else here needs an idea on how good the graphics and lighting are in Far Cry 6- shoot a bullet into a wall, and shine the lazer from a gun into the hole. With a level of detail like that, of course Ubisoft will have to leave a couple things out, but this video fails to paint what that is accurately.

i dont know if anyone has tried it,but the explosions from a distance sounds muffled there isnt any explosion and it looks glitchy at times with the grenade launcher. Far cry 6 needs to have some graphics updates like other games have had if they are smart. Even for ps5 and other game rigs it looks like they did not even try, but the ocean and the sky man does it look like they put the entire team on those things!!

seems like 4 put attention to detail in all the right places, 6 is a little confused.. for example in 4 the grenade shakes every bush and tree in a realistic way while, in 6 the grenade causes trees to jerk impulsively in a direction and stay there or fall over like a feather

What Ubisoft wants to do is enhance graphics and FPS at the cost of small details, like most other game companies. Although you have to admit these details and graphics are more realistic than other titles.

They really need to upgrade the far cry experience if they want to keep people interested. I haven't played any of the new ones since Far Cry 4, and this video is a good example of showing why. I'm sure 5 and 6 are good, but they come off more as spinoffs than new games. From far cry 1 to 2, there was a massive/drastic shift in style/tone/engine, nearly everything. From 2 to 3, more or less the same. But then from 3 to 4, there wasn't really too much that changed other than the story. Gameplay mechanics, engine, physics, gunplay, movement, was all nearly identical. The only things that changed were the story and location. And that's essentially been the trend since. But then again, I'm also probably expecting way too much out of Ubisoft.

La vegetazione che prende fuoco l ho trovata più realistica nel 6. La velocità non è quella del 4, a meno che non sia secca. Mi pareva fosse rigogliosa, piuttosto. Il fuoco nelle vetture nel 4 è più soddisfacente, ma credo sia questione di scelte stilistiche. È comunque più realistico nel 6 se inteso come "fuoco" e non come "bruciatura". I proiettili lasciano a desiderare su entrambi devo dire.

The thing with the "fishing" in this example is, he used two extremly different types of fish... in FC4 he killed a fish you get resources from and in FC6 he killed an ambient fish. There are other bigger fish (they resemble a gar i think and also the sharks) where it reacts the same way as in FC4. FC4 didn't even have ambient fish, just the big ones that attacked you whenever you got into deep water, so this example is a not exactly with the same conditions for both games.

Far cry 4 and primal are the best looking far cry games. 5 and 6 kinda look terrible. They had the perfect art style and they changed it ever so slightly for 5 and 6 and its just awful. Blurry, has this almost cel shaded look to it. Like the slightest amount of cel shading possible.

When it comes to the smaller details and little touches I thought Far Cry 4 was a step down from Far Cry 2… this just blows my mind. When does it stop? “AAA” gaming is a joke these days. Also I just want to add Far Cry 4 can run on Xbox 360 and PS3 so the developers can’t blame tech/console limitations when it comes to why things are dumbed down or taken out. It’s just uninspired laziness and corporate greed.
