In the mid 70s all our dads had these killer street cars, the fuel smell permeated the white meat in our heads, and stuck the awesomeness of these type of builds in our remedial nervous system. That’s why we thrive on the visceral driving experience. To us it’s real, we lived it with our dads. It was everyday life and we are the last generation of that kind of cool. Some people call it “toxic masculinity”, I call it Legendary Badassery.

@Rodrigo Vizcarra "Over the Top" to me is when someone customizes their car so much that it ceases to maintain the character of the original. Examples on a car like this would be digital gages, fuel injected coyote motor, ridiculous flares, etc. This car is pure old school. A great build.

I’ve watched a couple of your shows now, the OVC GT350 and now the Falcon. I just subscribed and guess what? I’ve never subscribed with anybody before. I have met both of these guys and seen both of those cars in person. They are awesome! I actually have a 1965 GT350 Tribute that is in restoration right now. Im hoping to have the car all back together and on the road by the end of April. I’ve had my tribute since 2006 as my daily driver. Even after this build, like Michael with his Falcon, my car will be my daily and track car. Before this build, I have had my hands all over it over the years. And yes, I actually hand built my previous engine in the car. This time around I sourced it out, but I will be receiving my car as a roller and I will install all the drivetrain in my driveway. I cannot wait to drive her again!

Great looking Falcon. Very pleased it had a 5 Speed Tremec rather than a 3 Speed Slush Box that seems to be the norm in a lot of potentially Cool Old American Custom Cars. This is a Real Muscle Car, that would actually take some Muscle to Drive. The '63 is such a good shape and I've only ever seen one 2 Door Falcon in Australia with the rear guards cut out to match the front to fit some decent rubber in the late '70's, and it looked Great. I thinks some nice 4 Point Harnesses would be far more suitable than the Killer Lap Belts though. One of the Best Cars I've seen for a long time, probably because it's unique, and I love the old 2 Door Falcons......Great Build, and Thanks for posting.

Love Falcons , I had. 63 1/2 Sprint ( for 33 years ) , like you I reflared the rear wheel wells , but did it to match the front flair i.e. The stock flair had a square edge , so I took ( iirc ) some 3/4 inch sq. Tubing and bent it then filled in the rest with metal ( I left on the side spears so I did not go as high as you did ) I wanted the factory look as much as possible . One thing that I really wanted to do was move the rear end aft about 4 inches , big tires would hit the body on the forward side of the tires . At the time I was doing this in the dirt and this was my only transportation . The engine it came with was a 260 with a 2 speed auto ( what moron decided on a 2 speed tranny , seems i was always waiting for it to shift ) knew a guy who wrapped his 67 2+2 ,WITH A BEEFY 289 and a 4 speed top loader and a 8.8 ( iirc ) so I cramped this in there , sorry to say all this happened in about 5 days in the dirt . Oh , one last detail you could. Hold the doors open about a foot , let go of the handle and they closed with a perfect mesh , when ever some got in , i always said in a loud voice " DO NOT SLAM THE DOOR " and if they did , they would be called out for it . Hey sorry for the ramble well no not really , loved my SPRINT . Sniffle , sniffle
