I found a way, click with the mouse a little further down, diagonally, on the left side.

Shoot, it won't let me paste a screenshot in the comments 🙄 I might see if I can add one in the discussion section that I added for the game on Steam. You have to move out of the area where you can only interact with the ship's wheel, I angled my body to the left of the center and aimed my pointer to the bottom left-ish of the note, but it might have been a little lower. Now that I've picked it up, I can't try again to capture exactly where when the note is still there, lol Just adding more detailed instructions here in case someone else is struggling. Thanks for the tip Fernando! My completionist soul can rest!

i really enjoyed this game until this level. The puzzels make no sence to me...
