The man, an active duty member of the US Air Force dedicated his life to his country and for freedom, but he was terribly let down by his superiors who decided to be the ONLY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD to veto a ceasefire as thousands of children are murdered daily in the name of self-defense. Glad you are laughing, typical for a so called supporter of so called palestinians. A recent poll conducted by a Palestinian polling company, in Gaza and in the so called West Bank showed increasing support for Hamas, at about 70% and only 12% in favor of a 2 state solution. The majority of Gazans and people in the so called West Bank support Hamas and believe they will still rule Gaza when the war ends. After Israel left Gaza in 2005 Hamas, seen by Gazan civilians and UNRWA, dug a tunnel system longer than the London Underground with exits/entrances in every other home, school, Mosque, hospital, to use them to fight from. The earth removed and replaced with the tunnels must have taken a massive man power operation to remove. Gazans ignored it. Palestinians are the greediest people on the planet. If you are upset about the devastation and loss of life in Gaza Look up Gaza on Trip Advisor and you will see a beach resort hotel amongst other luxury hotels, recommended restaurants and fancy shops, on google images you can see a beach full of people enjoying the Mediterranean, sitting in outside cafes together etc. The school system and healthcare was all run with aid money, food too was provided with aid money. Thanks to the futile 7 October attack all this is destroyed. Still Gazans are lucky, they attacked Israel not Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon or Syria because history shows those friendly neighbours do not stop until the Palestinians are dead or kicked out. Look at what has happened in Syria, 700,000 dead Muslims, starvation and tent cities. Hamas will be destroyed!

@@explore-n ok... 1.Classification - The differences between people are not respected. There’s a division of ‘us’ and ‘them’ which can be carried out using stereotypes, or excluding people who are perceived to be different. 2.Symbolisation - This is a visual manifestation of hatred. Jews in Nazi Europe were forced to wear yellow stars to show that they were ‘different’. 3.Discrimination - The dominant group denies civil rights or even citizenship to identified groups. The 1935 Nuremberg Laws stripped Jews of their German citizenship, made it illegal for them to do many jobs or to marry German non-Jews. 4.Dehumanisation - Those perceived as ‘different’ are treated with no form of human rights or personal dignity. During the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, Tutsis were referred to as ‘cockroaches’; the Nazis referred to Jews as ‘vermin’. 5.Organisation - Genocides are always planned. Regimes of hatred often train those who go on to carry out the destruction of a people. 6. Polarisation - Propaganda begins to be spread by hate groups. The Nazis used the newspaper Der Stürmer to spread and incite messages of hate about Jewish people. 7Preparation - Perpetrators plan the genocide. They often use euphemisms such as the Nazis’ phrase ‘The Final Solution’ to cloak their intentions. They create fear of the victim group, building up armies and weapons. 8.Persecution - Victims are identified because of their ethnicity or religion and death lists are drawn up. People are sometimes segregated into ghettos, deported or starved and property is often expropriated. Genocidal massacres begin. 9. Extermination - The hate group murders their identified victims in a deliberate and systematic campaign of violence. Millions of lives have been destroyed or changed beyond recognition through genocide. 10.Denial - The perpetrators or later generations deny the existence of any crime.

It is a war that has been master-minded by Putin with his allies to put to an end to Western, especially US domination. Putin, after the collapse of the Soviet Union - in his annual state of the nation address, called the collapse of the Soviet empire “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.” We are now in a kind of WW3 where 80 years of relative order after two world wars, is at an end. Not surprisingly, Fareed ignores the colonial, apartheid state of Israel's illegal violence against the Palestinians both in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank. The ICJ has found probable cause that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and the West Bank is a textbook example of colonial apartheid in which the Palestinians are denied human rights such as due process, freedom to travel, and self-determination. If the Israeli's stopped their illegal, existential violence against the Palestinians, then the Houthis would stop firing on shipping. But Israel and its Western backers care much more about Israel's ability to slaughter Palestinians and steal their land than they do about the freedom of navigation.

It is crucial for the Western powers to acknowledge the changing dynamics of geopolitics, where other actors are increasingly gaining influence. Embracing this shift may prove beneficial for fostering fairness and prosperity globally. History has shown that concentrated power on one side can lead to authoritarian behavior, as evidenced by the catastrophic outcomes of certain Western foreign policies, particularly those led by the USA, towards non-Western regions. These policies often resulted in mayhem and destabilization, disregarding international law. By recognizing the limitations of Western dominance and advocating for a more balanced distribution of power, we can strive to achieve the desires of all nations for just and fair treatment. This transition towards shared responsibility and collaboration presents an opportunity to establish a more equitable global order, where diverse perspectives are valued and the rule of law is upheld. It is essential to pursue this goal without resorting to conflict or starting a world war to preserve Western hegemony, but rather by fostering dialogue and cooperation among all nations involved.

Isolationism is no solution. Standing up to defend the rules-based world order is. Supporting our allies is. Supporting democracy is. We gotta do what we gotta do, or the US will go into decline, and possibly not survive as a nation. In the nineties, after the fall of the USSR, I was against military spending. Today, I'm all for it, as it's really necessary now to preserve freedom and defend our national interests. Putin is most definitely not the hope for Russia's democratic future that we thought he might be two decades ago.

Had greatest respect for Fareed. But in times of crisis he turns into a coward. Remember the illegal war on Iraq by US? Again this time, this man does not have the courage to call out Israel for its massacre of Palestinian children and civilians. Perhaps he is too afraid given that he is a Muslim, even though a secular one. He saw what happened to Mehdi Hassa, and even to brave Jewish people who condemned the Holocaust in Gaza.

Why is US stock market inflation hitting record highs if things are so bad?

He's not saying they're bad economically. He's saying the geopolitical position and stability of the world is threatened. Meaning that if the US doesn't lead, and the West isn't united in its course of actions, nor capable of putting down or maintaining order until relative safe regional stability, then there will be constant unforeseen chaos from other power hungry groups willing to take advantage and fill that vacuum. Which could be the other large competitive states that seem to desire greater hegemony and smaller states looking to gain a new foothold and influence.

He really said with a straight face Russia is “tearing up a norm that has stood for 80 years - no change of borders by force” then shifted to discuss Israel without realizing the irony that Israel has been and still is changing its borders by force since it came into existence 75 years ago
