This is so unbelievably sad. What an era!! I walked through there in 2016 with my sister and my nieces and we just walked through there and came right out. This is so sad. What a beautiful property they should have waited for at least two days later to close the property to give it the nostalgia year it deserved.

I feel like the property had been neglected for so many years, I didn't go out of my way to visit on my trip. One of the biggest issues was the restaurants. They didn't seem to be open on a consistent basis according to their posted hours and you can't keep people on the resort if you don't have options for them to eat. I had only been in the last 20 years to go to the Laugh Factory and thankfully they will have a new home. Did anyone else find the scent they used there annoying? I would sneeze uncontrollably whenever I did go in from whatever it was they used.

It honestly feels like NOBDOY cared about The Tropicana until it was closing down.
@klondikebear7 ай бұрын
@@StraightOuttaVegas It was the only of the four corners that people never seemed to go to. They simply never had anything to draw people in there for years. The other corners also had adjacent properties to continue on to as well. Tropicana had OYO 🤣

Quality opening joke. So, the medium burger wasn't well done because it was well done. 9:35 Most excellent "push" into the stain glass ceiling, I haven't seen others doing that, created a great view of the ceiling. And it's even better with the people in the shot, in part because it gives a perspective on how big the ceiling really is compared to people.

The new merch joke 😂😂 chill'm was my first frozen drink I had in Vegas. Fun nemesis of the Tropicana for me. Gonna miss it, but they should have waited 2 more days. Let it turn a year older and then close. Your music was way too dramatic, though, lol. Nice video

Sad to see it go if it was more center strip it may have survived like the flamingo. Luckily we went a year or so ago when the rumours first started and I got a shot glass. I don't care about baseball but it might be good for the properties at the south end of the strip.

While I understand Vegas is always changing and updating, it honestly is sad to see an old property shut down. I'd rather see some of the older ones redone and kept up to date. But the joys of the Strip, it is ever changing. Maybe that's why I enjoy Fremont so much, so much history over there. I honestly am shocked they didn't close it on their actual birthday and closed it early like they did. I regret not getting a last time over there. I still don't understand how the "renderings" of the stadium are going to work in that spot with the airport right there. I cannot believe how much that meal costed, I saw the upgrade to the tots was like 12 dollars, honestly that is crazy.

GREAT VIDEO ON A SAD DAY FOR LAS VEGAS AMD THE WORLD. THAT BURGER LOOKED DELICIOUS EXCEPT FOR THAT NASTAYYYY ONION. I ACTUALLY LOVE SHREDDED LETTUCE ON MY BURGERS- IT SETS THEM APART FROM SOGGY LETTUCE. YOUR MUSIC CHOICE WAS ALSO THE BEST FOR THE SAD LAST FEW HOURS OR THE TROPICANA. IT TRULY IS THE END OF AN ERA FOR LAS VEGAS. NEWER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER IN LAS VEGAS. MY GOOD FRIEND STEVE OWNED THE CASINO LEGENDS HALL OF FAME LOCATED IN THE TROPICANA FROM THE START OF 1999 AND RAN FOR OVER 7 YEARS. IT WAS A HUGE ATTRACTION WITH OVER 500 THOUSAND ITEMS LIKE CASINO CHIPS,SLOT MACHINES,CLOTHING FROM LAS VEGAS STARS,PICTURES,STATUES,GUITARS,GLASSWARE, ASH TRAYS, MATCHBOOKS ETC. ANYTHING LAS VEGAS ALONG WITH MOST OF THE STARS AND ENTERTAINERS OF LAS VEGAS WERE INVOLVED IN SOMEWAY. I LOVE LAS VEGAS AND IT’S AMAZING HISTORY. UNFORTUNATELY, LAS VEGAS AND OTHER PLACES ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO ERASE THE PAST WHILE CHASING THAT CORPORATE DOLLAR.
