Farewell Trion

This is a video of me playing the old time tune "Farewell Trion" live. I also give a sample of the fiddle lesson you will find at BluegrassDaddy.com. “Farewell Trion” is an old time tune composed by Joe Blaylock, the great-uncle of Mack Blalock who is the primary source for this tune. Joe Blaylock composed the tune upon returning to Alabama after getting laid off from a mill in Trion, Georgia. James Bryan added a third part to the tune.

Thanks for this John. I just finished making a 5 string cigar box fiddle for a friend and this is the tune I wanted so I could drone on the low C string for the demo. It's that backslide I was missing!
