I'm the one who ran the time thief combo deck. A bunch of cards in the main raidraptor combo were banned due to other archtypes so I had to improvise the combo. The combo basically required any 3 level 4s on the field which the time thieves facilitated really well.

because nekroz might have been a tier 0 deck on release , but it is horribly powercrept by now. it is VERY weak to disruptions , even just 1 can screw you so much you end up in a mediocre board

What I appreciate about this tournament series is that Farfa made the correct decision to banish stuff other than archetypal cards so that *everything* in the format got progressively weaker. Obviously some stuff was banned later than it probably should have, but I’m glad we’re not having games getting decided by Talents right now

You have no idea how happy I am to see Skybase see play AND be the reason for winning a game, it was the first ever Qli card I ever both saw and owned and I thought it looked super cool back then and sounded ridiculously strong since all the cards I had at that time were pre-Synchro era, I got it in one of those packs of like 30 cards you could get at stores like Meijer or Walmart that just had a bunch of unassorted cards with a guaranteed holo in them.

we saw - whether due to a programming oversight or an oddity with dimensional fissure - that the equipped Magistus monsters get sent to the GY if they're equip spells on the field. DiFi is a strong enough card that it makes sense to run if you're relying on spellbooks that will go to the GY for a lot of your plays.

With the newer support, Amazoness got some good consistency and search boosts, as well as recursion for their spells. They actually have pretty consistent otk potential, especially with so many better archetypes and disruption options banned.

I'm not going to be able to play the next one :( but with Invoker being unbanned, has anyone considered trying to play X-Sabers? The best I've come up with: - Summon Rescue Cat and use effect to summon DarkSoul and Airbellum from Deck -Overlay Airbellum/Darksoul for Invoker -Invoker effect to summon Assault Sentinel from Deck -Sentinel effect to Lonefire Psi-Reflector (locked into Synchros at this point) and search Assault Beast -Beast effect to search Assault Mode Activate, the Reflector effect to bring back Beast and increase level by 4 -Synchro a Level 9 for Gottoms Since you have two X-Sabers on board Faultroll is live, and since you have an X-Saber Synchro on board Gottoms Second Call is also live (and Saber Hole isn't a terrible Counter Trap, that is situationally searchable off of Saber Reflection; this might be a slow enough format at this point that it could work) Since Psi-Reflector can be summoned off E-Tele, if you open the E-Tele you can opt to summon a Zoodiac off of Invoker to get Drident on board; can also run Tenki to search the Assault Sentinel if there's no Rescue Cat line Not a good Deck by any stretch of the imagination, but maybe somebody could get it to work ;)
