I wanna say the cost of parts and labor. Alot of circuitry is involved in these vintage synths. I'm actually trying to build an analog synth of my own based on the same circuitry as the older models like Logan String Melody, RS 202, Omni, and so on. And I've got to say, Ive spent a pretty penny on parts any many hours on wiring, and soldering components. So it seems like companys wanna keep the cost cheap to build the shitty digital garbage they have today.
@RoomAtTheTopStudio6 жыл бұрын
@drumn incolor I agree with you. Even the new analogue VCO synths don't capture the same energy of the classic synths. I've recently found a new appreciation for these classic synths as the sounds they produce are the sounds I grew up hearing in television and movie scores as well as pop and underground music

@@AnalogAudio1 thanks a lot for your answer. before that, I found one at 2h drive in working condition. I didn’t go further and called the person then bought it after seeing your demo. Then I read you sold yours as another farfisa would do almost the same but in a compact instrument -forget which one. I was like « You are too impulsive ». so now I feel better 😉 I was interested in the ARP Solina string synthetizer, looking to have a string machine combined with monosynth. Farfisa soundmacker do this for much cheaper it seems. And more.. I have an ARP Omni 1 to repair. maybe I should find a tech to recap and change condensators of the FSM and other things.I don’t know. One thing : some say it’s not the best strings. I found in your vid geat rich strings. IDK if you know and like François de Roubaix but this Farfisa when you play it at a certain time, sounds like him. If you don’t, have a listen to this soundtrack genius by the right door. His string synth are quite unique and this farifisa have « that » sound. beautiful.
