She's walking! If I remember correctly, that was both a blessing and scary. Love to see how you hand off food to her as your working. Looks like things are going well at Tap. Great!

I was at a farmers market on Saturday and one farmer said it has been a good year for plums this year. They were delicious!

The farm looks great… lots of potatoes and plums. Lillian will be even more helpful when she gets older. The goats will be well fed this winter. See you next time❤️❤️❤️

Lovely video. 27 degrees in Aberdeen/shire on the day you posted. That hay will be drying quick! Fermented plums are good for a glut... and gut. I've always meant to ask, have you ever done an aerial view, or map of the farm to give a different perspective? I can sort of imagine the layout from your descriptions and videos, but I can't totally picture it as a whole.

Thank you! Yeah, it's been warm recently. Never tried fermenting plums (except as wine!) but will look into that now. That's a great idea and one we have been wanting to do - it's just getting my head around it. We have a map on our kitchen wall of the property, which we use for planning, that we could always incorporate into videos. Animation would be great and perhaps just using the drone with either text showing the various areas and systems or a drone tour.

@@TapoNothFarm that'd be very cool. Or maybe I'm just a permaculture voyeur! Just got a copy of "Preserving food without freezing or canning" that was mentioned in your last video. I'm enjoying it so far. Some great ideas.

Haha, no we're the same, love seeing the ins and outs of other folks land and seeing the design from above. Cool, glad you're enjoying the book.

Great to see another video & that your all doing well 😊 for the Willow coppicing, do you have to let it rest a year between harvest, or can you take it to ground each year?
@TapoNothFarm Жыл бұрын
Thanks! With the willow it really depends on the variety, when you cut it and for what purpose you are cutting it. Sometimes it will have grown well enough to make another harvest a year later but sometimes we will let it regenerate longer and choose another hedge to coppice, working on a rotation.

When will the goats kid? Greetings from Germany!
@TapoNothFarm Жыл бұрын
We keep on meaning to bring everyone up to date with the goats and the kids…..but spoiler alert: unfortunately the goats weren’t in kid after all 😟😭😒Will try and remember to talk about it in the next vlog!

@@TapoNothFarm such a pity! The goat part is always my favorite. We own also 2 goats but so far we didn t make them kid because with my office job I don t have time for milking and than there is the problem with the male kids...
