pop dried crushed oats into a muslin bag and then pop in the bath - great for dry skin and you can use the bag to scrub the body - then dump used oats into the compost pile or feed to chickens.

Lovely video! Good to see all of you again! Thank you for the great ideas with the oat/clover bed. Hope to experiment with a similar bed and maybe tea & tincture as well. Blessings on your beautiful family and your lovely farm! 🥰🌻🐛🍁🍂

I love gooseberries, this year I bought a little bush in a pot that I'm hoping will produce a bit of fruit next year. I feel rather envious after seeing your daughter picking them at the start of this video!

Growing my own food (for my kitchen) is something I aspire to. Even when I have my own family. Or buying from Organic farmers in the area.. Otherwise Monsanto will kill us all with oestrogenated food stuff. Watching this channel gives me much hope.

Excellent . . . thank you so much. I just want to let you guys know how much I appreciate what you are doing there. I watch every vid and gain so much helpful information from you. I have a place about 35 miles from you (Elgin) and find your planting schedules perfect for the little piece of land I have taken on this year. Although my land is quite poor in condition, it is producing more than enough for my family to eat and the grandkids to enjoy playing in . Keep on doing what you do. . . it's brilliant! Paul . :)

If you're going to experiment with oats for food, I'd suggest trying naked oats. They separate easily from the hull, so you eliminate the most difficult part of the processing. We're also looking into a naked barley next year too.

Great video update. Everything is growing so well and those kids are growing too. Weren't you planning a kitchen update? How is that going? Laura.

Hi Laura, many thanks. Kitchen is pretty much completed, took much longer than planned and only just got water and our cook stove (heating) back in time before our daughter arrived!

Great video, very nice. Can I ask, where did you do your PDC? Was it one of the online courses with Geoff Lawton? Thanks!
@TapoNothFarm2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I (James) completed my PDC in 2003 when I was lucky enough to be living for a bit in Australia, with Robyn Francis of Djanbung Gardens. This was before online courses was a thing but I’d probably consider online now if I was starting over. I’d imagine Geoff ‘s course is very good. You looking into one?

Looking to grow hulless oats next year on my allotment. Finding it hard to find a supplier in Scotland, can anyone help?
