In this week's vlog we introduce you to our new born daughter who was born on April the 24th, happy and healthy at home. And we also meet two goat kids that were born just a few days after our daughter!
We have a general catch up on what has been happening on our permaculture designed small farm, including where the chickens and geese are now after the avian flu restrictions have been lifted. We look at the polytunnel and see that we lost ALL our tomatoes to a bad frost. We talk about the reasons we have decided not to run our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture ) veg box scheme this year, though hear how our community is still supporting us by buying any surplus or gluts from the garden. We put out some kale and cabbages into our home garden before taking the kids and mother goat out to explore their surroundings.

Welcome to Tap o' Noth Farm, a quarter acre Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) market garden and 8 acre permaculture designed forest garden farm/homestead in Aberdeenshire, NE Scotland. We practice home scale to small farm scale agroforestry and regenerative agriculture methods to produce organic fruit and vegetables, raise dairy goats for all our raw milk needs, Shetland sheep and geese to graze our silvopasture and coppice systems and laying hens, moved around in a Chickshaw, for an abundance of eggs.

Aww congratulations for all the new lives! I bet it was an amazing experience for Rosa to see Mandy give birth just after doing so yourself, such a lovely bond between mothers. Got a little teary myself seeing all the new life, between Lillian's little cherub mouth and the kids aeroplane ears I've had my fill of cuteness for the week haha. Watching Oran trying to eat the compost made me laugh, we always had Collie farm dogs growing up, they're the most utterly bonkers dog breed but in the best way possible.
