Hey there I know that you are a nutrition scientist from one of your old comments, could you PLZZ help me out here??? I'm a male weighing 169 pounds, 182 cm tall, at 25% body fat (DEXA SCAN). I'm trying to bring down my body fat percentage and gain some muscle (I DON'T WANNA GO INTO A BULK THOUGH!!!). Could I go for 135 - 140g protein per day??? PLZZ do clarify my doubt coz I'm very much scared about my kidney health, although I have no underlying or chronic kidney disease not even minimal, but still this protein consumption thing has always haunted my peace. I just recently came across your channels and it is nice to see someone hiking up hill without getting winded. that said you don't have to worry about wildlife. I was about 20 feet from a pack of coyotes yesterday and nothing happened. people love to say that mountain lions will kill you but I have tracked many in my life and never had one try. as for snake and lizards, I have to guess you are in southern to central california based on the hills around you. there are possibly gilia monsters and western diamondbacks around but it is unlikely you would see one. probably the most dangerous snake you will see is the pacific rattlesnake and the western rattlesnake (the pacific rattlesnake is a subspecies of the western) and as long as you don't try to pick them up you will be fine. the don't handle them goes for all venomous snakes. some people worry about stepping on snakes but it is rare one would strike from stepping on it and loose pants around your ankles will reduce the likelihood of envenomation by around 90% or so.

this is literally me, i grew up near chapparal hills like those ones, those green spiky plants are everywhere😭 they make it so hard to make your own trail. also coyotes come out at dusk so when it’s getting dark and you’re still out there it’s like 😬 we might be in danger lol
