Dad had a 1206 with a ice cream cab in the ‘70s and I use to stand by the little heater in cab when he plowed in the fall with it! We could see him 2 miles away black smoke just pouring out! Loved that tractor! Dad traded it off for brand new 1586 in 1980! Somebody kick us for doing that😂

First tractor with a cab on our farm was a John Deere 4440.. his first tractor he bought was a John Deere 730 diesel it had no styled fenders the styled fenders were an option you had to buy and dad didn't buy options lol. No factory radio in his 1960 dodge pickup even..

After recollections from my Dad that remembered the old 'heat wells' that one could wrap around the open platform tractors in the dead of winter with a North wind blowing in February those cabs were mighty hard to beat. We have a cab for a '66 series and we take the doors off during summer and it isn't bad at all.

My uncle had two 1206 tractors. One with a regular cab and muffler, which is the one I preferred to use. The other one had the white cab and straight pipe muffler. They were both great power machines, would pull 5-20s molboard plow right along.

I own my uncles grandfather's what we believe is a '63 806 with RD pump and the ICB cab. The tach quit recently at 4,400 hours. I hope one day to restore it. I used it just last night to move round bales off the alfalfa field. The one in this video also has the heavier 8 bolt front hubs, dual remotes, 3 pt, and hazard lights

We have 66 that had the red cab years ago. Then got changed out to year around cab. We currently took cab off and restored it to factory no cab. Westport IN.

I spent much of my teenage years in an 806 with I think a cozy cab. Now my wife yells at me because I say 'What?' all the time.

I've seen these cabs on the 706 quite a bit, but never seen one in person on an 806. The 806 is one of my personal favorites. Also, the 4166 is my all time favorite and I'm looking for one, so if you have one for sale and happen to be a reasonable distance to upstate NY please leave me a comment.

Nice clickbait. Maybe the tile should have been "History of my IH 806 with Ice Box Cab"??????
