Good job. I appreciate the extent of detailed explanation you give on each step.

Was just contemplating giving the governors on my dads old '42 W6 (same engine) a bit of a look but never got round to it so, today, I picked an old rusty set out the scrap and stripped them down. Turns out there is virtually no wear on the main parts but the main bearing and thrust bearing are shot. Good info on the strip down as I was going in blind on this job. Thanks for the tutorial👍🏻👍🏻

You sure did a nice job. I always wanted to know what was behind that cover. Now I know stuff about it , not in the dark with those anymore, I should be able to get my H to quit running so fast when throttled down. drives me nuts. thks

Want another one to rebuild over the winter? I have no machining knowledge or the equipment, I can do everything else. Have an H governor that needs work but not outlet for parts.

Those things almost make a John Deere governor seem simple!

They are both very simple if you don't over think them

It appears that some mechanic in the past had bent the rod from the bell crank to the throttle shaft and was a simple fix once i realized the shaft was supposed to be straight.
