Exactly. €1 for fresh whole milk is value for money. Supermarket is more like water with a bit of milk in it. The worst kind is the skimmed milk that barely has the taste of milk and you can't even compare supermarket whole milk with fresh from the farm milk...I personally think supermarket milk is expensive but maybe it is because I get my milk from a dairy farm, I get to keep the cream after boiling and I can also churn some butter. I feel like I am getting a lot out of it.

Fresh milk from a farm even if costlier is better than supermarket milk because it is truly whole creamy milk. The supermarket milk has all the cream taken off and made into butter and cream so if you get it at €1 per litre, it will be way cheaper per volume than the supermarket milk.

I live in a suburb near a lot of farmland. Drive a mile and you’ll see cows, chickens, produce etc. People near me sell farm fresh milk, eggs, honey produce etc out of their homes all the time. Yes it is more expensive than the store. But it’s fresh and organic. Just out of curiosity I decided to look up how much it would cost to raise chickens. I eat a lot of eggs, why not? My husband and BIL had 2 chickens as pets when they were kids so they already told me, bad idea. Although I believed them there wasn’t any harm in doing more research. The more I learned the more I became disgusted with chicken farming. Karen if you think you’re smarter than country folk, prove it by doing research.

So I did some basic research of taking care of a cow. So there are extremely specific ways to raise cows for milking and it isn’t cheap doing it at a small scale. So the lady would be paying more for milk while having to meet current criteria so the cow can produce milk at a consistent rate or even at all.

Has this karen ever taken care of another living creature. A cow's care is way more than 1 euro cost of milk hell it way more than the $3 a gallon in USA stores. In America a single cow would need 1 full acre, hundreds of dollars of mineral/medicines, twice a year breeding (so bull renting), plus need constant human contact to stay calm.
