For riding mowers that are hydrostate there is a release rod to put it in neutral so it can be pushed. On the cub it’s in the back near the hitch part, little bent 1/4 rod sticking out, pull it and move it down the slot so it stays out. It’s in neutral to be pushed! Have a cub just like it. Lol make it easier on yourself next time, but still hard to push with flat tires.

Those funky "hooks" on your chain are made to fasten in holes in the frame of some vehicles to pull or tie it to the wrecker. They go where there is no location for the use of conventional hooks. 😊

Timestamp 22:07 those extra parts on the chain are for in-frame tow points on newer vehicles. Most newer cars do not have secure points that older one have so the built them with small oval holes in the frames.

Hi Mr. Paul, I love to see a guy working together with his son. My wife and I run an HVAC business. I use to work to work with my boys, my oldest owns 3 transmission shops, the youngest well he's going to be like my dad and become a Mortician/Embalmor he's almost done he graduates next spring, just in time to prepare me, just kidding, but it's good working with your children to bad more people don't do it.

love your videos but this one had me shaking my head thinking there is no way I would trade my trailer for a lift gate. the end of my trailer is about shin high so I have no problem loading appliances on it. just put them next to it and flip them in. the mower would have been easy as well. just tilt the trailer down and use the winch. easy as it could get. never commented about the lift gate before but had too on this one. I load all the big stuff on my trailer and still have my pickup bed for the smalls. I can load 8 washers or dryers on my trailer and still have room plus the pickup bed. Nope no way would I trade with you on the lift gate. but still love your channel.

Hi Plau (lol), Ummm, I believe there is a small rod sticking out of the back of those lawn tractors...if you pull it out and lock it out it disemgages the transmission so you can push them easier. Mine does at least. Cheers from New Brunswick, Canada...eh.

A couple notes for you Plau!! Cool seeing Jessie out with you. There is small rod that sticks out the back of the tractor and is chrome. It puts the tractor into neutral and easier to roll. That chain is from a car hauler. The odd hooks fit into slots in car frames and the chain connects to hooks on the hauler frame.

If you were to throw your excess chain over the the chain that is doing the pulling, it would fall to the ground or bed of your truck if it were to come undone. We would use a heavy blanket over our chains when doing frame work on cars and trucks, if it came loose it would drop right to the floor and not go through a window or hurt anyone. Better safe than sorry. Also you need to get the come along out further at first so you don’t have to worry about running out of cable and having to readjust. Using ropes with the chains aren’t the safest .

I had an 02 Dodge Dakota for 20 yrs that I started scrapping with, held up well but did start getting frame rust issues. That looks like a 2nd gen Dakota as well. They had clear coat issues too where it starts to flake off, usually on the hood and roof are the first to go. Mine the hood was fine because it was redone after a deer hit but the roof did peel off and got a bit ugly looking.
