I’m on the Cotswolds and I agree, I think we got away it quite lightly compared to some parts of the country. One tree came down on the through road, but the farmer was out there clearing it all away really quickly. I think Sunday was our worst day, heavier rain and the wind went went round to the north which hammered the front of the house pretty hard. Haven’t had much rain since then.

More roof is better than concrete. Could you put a lean too off the big barn the tree team use for equipment? Along the yard side. Shallow wide sheds are better for kit than deep narrow sheds as the thing you want is always at the back.

Dam sheep🤣🤣. I’d be tempted to put a lean too where you stacked the silage down the side of the barn. Make it just deep enough to put gear in and just high enough to drive the tractor under. Use the up rights of the barn to half the steel bill… just makes it a bit tight 🤷♂

Could you not clean up the area down the side of your main shed/workshop (That second old cabin next to holy's kitchen running down to where the bale trailer is stored) and add a lean to roof down the length of the building. This would give you a place for machinery to be put under a roof without taking up potential cattle expansion space?

Concrete naa don’t both! Put 1 1/2 bays up with Yorkshire boarding up all around and fit calf proof barriers 😂
