I grew up on a farm in Texas where my father grew mostly cotton. We had animals but not like what you have. y dad was bee farmer too. Ha. Don't remember what he called it but we produced lots of honey that he sold in Texas Arizonaand Calivornia. . Imoved away from farming when I married and started a beautiful family. Am retired now and living in an apartment but loving utube farming. Ha. ..Seing what young people are doing on the homesteads is why I get up each day. Love it tha young well educated people are back on the farm so to speak

Great "Day in the life" video. Hope you have enough time with family with such a busy schedule. Too bad that they can't make that medicine for Pinkeye as a liquid or salve as I can't imagine powder in the eye which is probably painful as it is. Hope you fit time in for a good breakfast before heading to work. Congrats on the new job hope it works out well.

You need more parts to paint, you could have a tractor tree😁 We've had really good luck with the powdered colostrum, biggest thing is get it in their belly soon enough, just like the real thing! On the pinkeye, like anything else, the sooner it's gone the better. On really bad cases, we try to treat daily, every other day works great! If a couple of treatments doesn't knock it, swap medication, or combine a couple. Going to work??? LoL. My dad did that, worked as a machinest for 35++ years.... Kinda had his own hours, still 40/week, but had time to farm. That and we had 3 old retired guys to drive tractor (usually 6-10 hours/day) and at least 2 or 3 kids that worked after school and on weekends. Now, it's mainly just me and my daughters.... They work anywhere from 6 to 16 hours a day (1 is still in college, the other helps her fiance with farming and trucking) Mom still does a little, my wife fills in where ever she can....... Then there's me... LoL!!! 12-18 hour days.... Wouldn't have it any other way😎 Although, a decent income from a real (lol) job would be nice.... Thanks for the video! Don't wake momma and the baby too early 😎

Great video Tyler Thanks for sharing. I had a goat once that like being in with the pigs. When the pigs get bigger do you plan to keep the feeders full. Or will you continue rationing their feed.? You could always throw those moldy bales in for the pigs given them some entertainment and bedding and a little treat. That is again for sharing congrates on the new job.

Nice to know there's somebody else out there that's up at 3! Yep a great way to make money in farming is to have an off Farm job. I don't know if that's an LOL moment or shows what the economy of farming is really like? Yep up at 3 a.m. leave for work between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. depending on the day. Get home anywhere from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. . If there's time then go to the farm for a few minutes to hopefully be to bed by 9:30. We are all that guy!! I think every Farm has some examples of greatest intentions or best idea yet laying around somewhere that never got finished. Pretty brave leaving that wet paint in the morning. Over here it would be full of gnats and small bugs. LOL My wife and I sit with the animals as much as possible to get the calves used to us. Pretty cool that you can walk up on them!

Some people don’t need 2 jobs money doesn’t buy happiness. You only live one life. Hopefully one job make it if not than maybe you need to rethink what your doing wrong. His farming is something that in his blood I guess I don’t know how much he thinks it work to him.

@@ratj4715 I don't think I said two jobs would buy happiness. All I said was it would pay the bills if you weren't making enough at one job. FTR loves farming and maybe he makes enough to support his family, maybe he doesn't. Barb Cole So you didn’t even work a hole yr than. And had every holiday off that you could name and had part of the summer off how nice. Just saying and in this country it sad people have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet at one time the husband made enought by himself in this country and the wife stay home and raise the kids now both work and most don’t make what their dad made by himself. All these foreign stuff coming in and the jobs going out pretty much is killing the middle class in this country and greed way out their the rich never have enough they want more and more and us the middle class just want to be able to keep what little we have. You shouldn’t have work 2 jobs am old enough and luck out and had one of them good paying jobs. I hate seeing what going on in this country now. I glad am getting out very soon.

My auntie had a rooster that was best friends with her pig. The river flooded really bad one year and my auntie had to evacuate with no notice. She was hoping that the rooster would survive but wasn't sure about the pig. When they drove up she looked for them and found both the rooster and the pig on the fence. Apparently, the rooster went on the fence and the pig climbed the fence and followed him. My aunt decided to keep them both as pets and she had them the rest of their lives. She tells the stories and they are so funny.

Little late here.... My hubs and I both work full-time so we tag team dinners and have taught our 10 year old how to make her own lunch for school. I am just curious....since you have two jobs (and I don't know if your wife has a job outside the house-being a momma is a full time job in itself!) does she make dinner and pack your lunches? Maybe I'm the only one curious 🤷

Thanks for the follow up on the young cow. A guy that work at my work would get up early and feed his horses and get horse poop on his shoes or the bottom of his pants one in a while and not know it not a very good smell we always get on him about it and make fun of it. It was pretty bad sometimes.
