I discovered your channel recently and man is it motivating me (and overwhelming me a bit at the same time haha). I am in awe with the kind of childhood your children have! My husband and I want this so badly for our kids! Thank you for your inspiring videos. Homemaking is an art I have started to work on and develop for about 3 years now but I am so impressed by how much progress one can make when fully invested in it. That's why your videos give me hope! I hope one day I can get to that level of making so much of what we eat from scratch! Thank you thank you! Whenever I am discouraged or overwhelmed with homemaking, I watch one of your videos and it always does the trick :)

Iris are extremely easy to transplant if you want to move some closer to the house - they are near impossible to kill. It's also fun to collect different varieties as they come in a multitude of colors - blue flag and Louisiana types are native to North America.

Yes, I was just going to say that! My Irises were actually ones that my neighbors had uprooted and were going to throw away! I knew they would grow really well, I had admired them for years. They were ugly when i planted them, the landscapers had chopped all the foliage off, but they survived and thrived. I planted them in the wrong season too, and they were still happy.

If anyone’s interested I have found a way to peel boiled eggs and it works every time. After boiling eggs get a mason jar and drop one egg at a time in jar, shake hard, take egg out and the peel basically falls off almost by itself. Saves so much time.

Lisa, I have a buckle-type baby carrier and a wrap. I tried the wrap once before after following someone’s short and it just wasn’t working and I went back to my other one. Eventually thought I’d just give up the wrap bc it didn’t seem worth the effort. Well I watched your video yesterday and did it but i put the baby in slightly wrong, however still liked it. This morning I tried it without watching the video to see if I could remember and got it all nice and snug. My baby smiled in the mirror both times 😂 so glad I’m using it, I was worried I’d regret giving it up!

Hi Lisa! I love your channel! A quick/cheap tip for the moving board while chopping is to place some newspaper underneath. It's more savvy than using a wet kitchen towel, and old newspapers can find a use again. Love these kind of videos :) Your dress style is so cute. I would love to have so many fresh flowers, but I have a cat who will anything that is greenery so I hardly have them in my house as most plants are poisonous to cats. Spring here has finally arrived (though it is supposed to be closer to summer now hahaha) so we had our first dinner in the garden yesterday. I try focussing now on some new dinners that we can enjoy in the garden and on getting some vegetables to grow in pots. The nights are still very chilly so much still needs to be taken inside during the evening and night.

Can I use the code if I have shopped there before (I will need to buy a couple clothing items after I give birth in a couple weeks)? I love the deals there! Fresh flowers at a kitchen is always so great to see!! Yeah, I say "peonies" the second way, rather than how you say it (which I have never heard said that way before!) So interesting. I love tables with bench chairs. It is my goal to have a table like that. I blame my childhood obsession with the TV show "The Waltons" where they had that. My husband will sometimes send me photos of homes with them because he knows I love them. It looks great outside! Outdoor dining is fun! Love how the buns came out. Thanks for the danish recipe. Hummingbirds like honeysuckle, I believe, so not a weed by my definition. Historically, many wildflowers which were treasured in the past are sadly considered weeds, which can be detrimental to pollinators. No wonder butterflies and bees are declining as their food sources are diminished.
@isabelleer7501
@isabelleer7501 Жыл бұрын
There are native honeysuckles that are great for pollinators - coral honeysuckle is an example. Common Japanese honeysuckle with cream and yellow blooms is not native and will smother and kill native plants - best to plant native! Non native, invasive plants should always be considered weeds

on the hamburger buns...im a bit confused from the recipe and the notes that follow in the bun recipe...do you add the eggs and then ferment on the counter? or ferment then add the egg? I did it last night adding egg for the full ferment and seems to be working beautifully just want to make sure this is correct and safe (using our own backyard eggs)

I'm a newer sub for your channel. Just curious how you clean the items with Linen in them? Back in the 80's during my business career days my linen items had to be dry cleaned.

Just have to share, I love your real look into your "simple" lifestyle (though I know it's anything BUT simple with all the things you're juggling daily!) - it's absolutely gorgeous between all the different colored eggs, greenery, fresh flowers, farmhouse, rising bread, etc. Checking out your videos daily has inspired me to be a better homemaker with my own household. We live in a suburban area outside a major city and there's very little greenery, lots more hustle/bustle but I've been inspired by you to make more involved dinners for my family this week after watching you. Typically we default to the crock pot because I always feel I don't have the time or the energy (which is fine sometimes!) But we've been appreciating food made with a little more love and effort so thank you for sharing a peek into your beautiful life!! ❤️
